The Victors sounded so good here. Does anyone know if it's the type of instruments the band is using that it sounds like this? I think it sounds better than todays. No offense to current MMB'ers, but when The Victors sounded like this it just felt like their was more energy to it.
that is DEFENSE boys....this may have been one of the most beautiful things i have ever witnessed...the defense played as a TEAM, can NOT stress that enough, it was something special, the way all 11 players played together, for an opposing team, they had to feel as though they were playing against 15 MEN out there, this was art in its best form! I LOVE YOU BLUE!!!
THOSE WHO STAY WILL BE CHAMPIONS...remember that boys, its true to this day!
Boston was a fucking bastard. I laughed so hard when he mocked Woodson while OSU was getting blasted. 20-7 isn't getting blasted, but it wasn't even that close.
Thanks, WH! What a day that was. On the field after the game, I screamed at Andre Weathers, "You did it! You won the game! blahblahblah!" Of course, my voice was so hoarse, he had no idea what I was saying and just looked at me like I was nuts. Let's start the season!!!
I remember sitting in my family room at 12 years old thinking WE'RE GOING TO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! Whatever has transpired in the past 10 years cannot take that memory away from me! My fireplace will always be the place I found out Michigan was going to play for the National Title.
In the stadium that day, time stood still in the 4th quarter, especially after to$u scored and cut the lead to 6. I remember looking up at the scoreboard in the south end zone with 13+minutes to go and just
quietly praying for the clock to run. That was the most tense atmosphere I've ever experienced in that stadium. My stomach was in knots until Germaine threw that last incompletion.
The whole day was surreal. Unbelievable. Damn, I can't wait for the season to get here!
He was a huge jackass. But he wasn't really that different from Terry Glenn or most of the OSU players from the 90's. They would talk trash to the media before the game every year and every year we would beat them. That's what made the victories even more special.
And of course, who could forget the "Michigan is dead," comment before the 1993 game? Blue went on to win 28-0
This series needs to go back to this. The evil villains have won long enough.
I agree I sincerely hope that on Nov. 21 this year we can get back to our winning ways against them. Like I said I didn't start watching Michigan untill 2001 because I got old enough to sit and watch the games having it make my Saturdays good or bad. So as you can tell from the year I haven't watched many wins against them so I like watching wins over them from the past on here.
indeed. I was only a little 2nd grader at the time, so I didn't know much about the team back then, but like with all diehard Wolverines fans, Michigan football has now become a 2nd religion to me.

I have wondered why Woodson's Heisman-clinching heroics are not quite as remembered well as Howard's in 1991.
This was a closer game than 1991's and Woodson's plays were more timely (Michigan already had a huge lead when Howard ran back the punt).

@RJman101 You mean five conference games? I think it's a strong possibility, but at this point I think 4-4 in conference is more likely.
