You don't even need to do that, just run it from anywhere you like. Far more consistent UI across the whole OS. A huge library of very well designed and feature rich 3rd party applications (FAR higher quality than most Windows software).

@JRDShamrock No you can't. Windows installs things into a strict directory structure for the vast majority of applications. You can't just double click an application exe and it run from literally any volume and location it just happens to be, with the full application in that one place. This isn't how Windows is built. Mac apps come in a .app file type, it's like a .zip of sorts but it's the entire application and all it needs. Apps for Mac are generally written better and designed better.

Mac people, first of all, let's not be snobbish, PCs are much more versatile and are not bad computers. Yes, Macs do run better for their specs and don't crash as much. It's just that some people feel like spending $1000 dollars on a PC with 10 GB of RAM, a 1 TB hard drive, i7 processor, and a 1.5 GB graphics card, rather than a $1,200 computer with an i3 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 500 GB hard drive, and a 256 MB graphics card. I tried this (Making my "PC" look like a mac) forever ago. I used FlyaKiteOSX. It installed skins, icon packs, sound packs, cursors, wallpapers, boot screen skins and it gives you the option of what dock (KK Dock, Rocket dock or Object Dock) to use (Along with anything else you want or don't want to install). It gives so much more and makes your Windows XP instillation look very much "like" a mac.

Those with Windows XP should give it a Google search. It's well worth it IMO :P.
