  • 5 people are Irish

  • I think this show is funny. I wonder why 5 people disliked it.

  • @spacekait They may no understand this beatiful and clever british humour. I´m not a british, by the way, but I love it and I can watch again and again.

  • I almost died of laughter at 9:16 amazing...then continued almost dying with the expensive wallpaper quote. LMAO.

  • I'm not standing here surrounded by expensive wallpaper to be given details like that... LOL

  • although my grandad said your nan

    mr hated people thinking that.

i was going by her looks grandad.

mind you she was a little bit like

    hyacinth on cleaning house side.

but she was a star and too good to me

  • hyacinth always makes me think

of my nan all the time

  • lol @ 09:16

  • it would be nice if these eposides were in order. It's almost maddening trying to get them in order. Makes no sense the effort it takes to get them going.

  • @lovelybutterfly32 I couldn't agree more !

  • @dwarflover63 Whew, I was beginning to think it was just me. Nice to know I am not the only one who has a prob w/ this. LOL.

  • B-U-C-K-E-T spells Bucket, it's Bucket...not bouquet! LOL

  • off topic question from a norwegian....is it unusual to take off ur shoes when entering a house or apartment in england??? because hyacinth is "crazy" because she incists people taking their shoes off when they come in xD

  • @fluxXx911 It is fairly common for people to expect guests to take off their shoes when entering a house, it's good manners.

  • @fluxXx911 I don't live in England , but it became habit for me while living in Alaska. It was considered good manners; especially in winter when you'd drag mud throughout the house eitherwise.

  • corner the market LOL

  • if you want to enjoy life. never ever marry a woman like this one. on a self reflection basis, this woman and i have a lot in common

  • what does hoi paloy mean??

  • @joshipoo16 working class, the masses.

  • Good gracious, it's my grandmother and grandfather all over again!

  • hahahaha

  • "Richard, I will not have you waving in dirty garden gloves" LMAOOOOO

  • 3:44!!!!! ahahahahah

  • Man, if I were Richard I would have gotten a divorce! How can he live with that woman?

  • "You've no right to be working when I'm hissing at you!" hahahaha!

  • This woman is a joker. I actually knoww some women who behave like her . seriously.

  • I saved a lot of money for the Hyacinth' crockery she is offering Elisabeth coffee. I still have it for 15 people and still use it. Money well spent for using it 20 years now.

  • she is my mother!!

  • My mother in law IS Hyacinth Bucket, bless her. It is uncanny how similar they are!!!

  • Absolutely brilliant - typical English humor :)

  • This has to be one of the funniest Programmes in the World. Just Fantastic! Why can't this be back unlike the shit on TV now.

  • منتهيه هالعحوز بس دمها خفيف

  • @danah2222

    ???

  • this woman is wonderful lol

  • brilliant show iv grew up with it i cant get enough off it

  • Is there anyone who has the part where harriet is getting on a horse? It's just so funny, and I can't find it!

  • A nice English comedy with Patricia Routledge. But this English comedy seems to b more geared to older folks since so many of the characters in this programme were at least 65 years of age and much older. I think I liked Patricia much better in the English crime-drama of "Hetty Wainthrop".~Cheers mate.

  • poor Richard he must live a tiring life!!

hyacinth kills me though!! =) LOL of the best shows in earth

  • why doesnt Richard strangle her !!

and yes the water does look awful, however in a later episode, she does complain to the water company,"it doesnt look like my usual water,I will not have second hand water coming out of my gold taps."

  • keeping-up-appearances

  • What's a hoipoloi?

  • @Blackthorne369... "hoi polloi" in English colloquially means commoners, great unwashed, minions, rank and file etc. etc. It's actually Ancient Greek for "the many". The term is usually used in a derogatory sense.

  • I love this woman. God bless her. Watching her makes me laugh.

  • 3:43 LOL!

  • i love this show

  • 3:43 <3

  • 9:17 LOOOL

  • 'I didn't invent the human cooling system' LOL

  • "Are we quite sure were the new vicor stands on naked elbows"How do they keep a straight face!

  • Richard hits back 3:00 LOL.Ultimate sarcaism!

  • Notice the color of the water that Hycianth ran from the faucet to put in her tea pot...at 4:15... It looked awfully dirty LOL

  • @9duhjb9 Oh my God that looks disgusting lol!

  • @9duhjb9 sure did, it looked like she was giving the coffee a helping hand with that dishwater!!!

  • @9duhjb9 It's just because the coffee pot had already been used so there was left over coffee in the bottom of it... Mine does it all the time.

  • Love that Mrs Bucket

  • I really love this show I am coming to the stage now I know what they are going say next, one of the best shows ever.......

  • that could be to do with the fact it's a Roy Clarke sitcom. The reason Open All Hours and Last of the Summer Wine ran so long was because they were 'predictable' comedies. I don't mean that in a bad way, he establishes characters, gives them all catchphrases and set reactions, and then uses them in every episode. It works a treat :)

  • Whenever I watched this, I thought ' How can that man put up with such a wife?!'. I still have no clue how he does it... lol!

  • most patient man in the universe! lol

  • i love this show....i used to watch it ALL THE TIME!!!

  • no profanity . funny without 4 letter words how amazing . no creative writers left in us. except the same old murder.. or csi or housewives or reality! so refreashing . my father and great candian mother american....thanks for fresh real comedy......so much caos

  • fantastic no horrid provanity and it hysterical .great writers . cant get enough ..!

  • he must have been really patient to support her! poor richard!1

  • Cream cakes! LAMO!

  • Im a urban new yorker from brooklyn and I swear I love this show that hycianth is unbelievable

  • hehehe hooked here in calif. for the past 17 years!! she is also in a great show called hetty winthrorp??? someone help me here.... it is a detective show...

  • Yes she is an undercover detective

  • williamsburg?

  • English humor is the best!!!!

  • lf all housewives r 2 b like Hyacinth, then men would not wish 2 marry. Oh poor Richard, u r really tough 2 endure all this noise.

  • I strive to be just like her....hehehehe

  • hyacinth is funny RICHARD

  • RICHARD

  • "Cant you keep one pair for gardening and on for waving?" XD So fucking hilarious

  • I think Richard is very brave that hasnt even asked for a divorce yet

  • Everyone needs a Hyacinth in his or her life. I mean, bouquet.

  • Poor Richard...if any man ever ran away from home and be justified lolololol

Richard is my hero and a brave solider no doubt smile:-)

  • Hyacinth is my hero!!!!!!

  • Hyacinth is nutty as a fruit cake....while playing this part I watch this show as often as I can especially when I need a GOOD laugh

    lolololololololol

  • I love her. She is old version of Katherine Tate:-)

  • I LOVE THIS

  • "Now tell me...and I shall know if your lying, are your fresh cream cakes really fresh?" haha!!! that's hilarious!! I use to work for a neurotic, pretentious, nervous overzealous materialistic middle aged, middle class (who wished and liked people to believe she was upper class) woman who reminded me EXACTLY like an American NY/Italian version of Hyacinth..

  • "No one in this family has ever committed suicide and I'm sure we're not going to start on the day I'm having the new vicar for tea and light refreshments" lol

  • love this show

  • Rose was played by Shirley Stelfox who now plays Edna Birch in Emmerdale. She was replaced by Mary Millar

  • thats funny edna birch looks about 100 years old

  • very funny onslow isbets :D

  • The name of the episode is "Welcoming the dishy Vicar"

    Favorite episode!

  • I miss this show! They have changed the schedule so I have no idea when or if its on anymore.

  • it comes on here in chicago on saturday nights @7:30p.m. on pbs channel,so if you have pbs it comes on that channel, check your local listings...

  • Hyacinth always seems to have that blue dress with the white polka dots on .Maybe it's just me

  • I think it's her "house dress." :)

  • im a huge fan,a young black man from chicago, who never would have seen this show unless my co-worker who is like 60 and white told me to watch, that was 10 yrs ago, love hyacinth bucket, oops i mean "Bouquet"!lol

  • yes a real funny show

  • 9:17 Creepy!

  • "My goodness, is that a dead leaf?!" lol

  • This is the best show ever. The contrast about the sisters' lives are very interesting and funny!!!

  • Wow...i used to watch this with my gram every weekend when our public broadcasting statione would play the BBC shows...loved this show!

  • "are your fresh cream cajes reallt fresh?" XD

  • Classic British Telly, Those were the days. How how Labour have ruined Britain.

  • its funny how despite their differences hyacinth's sisters call her a lot, do they ever show rose or daisy talking to violet? they always seem to show everyone calling hyacinth, it makes sense since she is the main character but I was just wondering

  • I used to stay up at night watching this show for weeks at a time (yes, I admit). I can't say I've ever witnessed Violet talking to anybody other than Hyacinth.

Come to think of it, I think it only shows Violet once, though I am re watching all the episodes to refresh my memory.

  • her facial expression over the phone says it all even though you don't hear the person on the other line, I luv this show

  • I have the WHOLE series I deadly love this show.

Fave character is Liz, Hyacinth, Onslow, Emment and the Vicar =D

  • You Are Soo Lucky! its like $90 This Show Is My "Dirty Little Secret" So I Cant Ask Santa

  • 9:17 is rather funny

  • Sometimes she reminds me a bit of how my Grandma. She used to say things like "put your hair back on your forehead", told my mom not to play on "public equipment"(like swings,..etc.) and didn't like "short pants"(shorts).

My friend from the UK says there's things about the show that Americans wouldn't pick up on that make it even funnier. Things like the irony of type of accent they have for their supposed social standing, etc.

  • She's not that annoying, Im sort picky like she is too. I just want things done right.

    Thankyou for all these episodes!!!!!

  • "Rose, you will not commit suicide, I forbid it." LOL.

Thank you so much for posting these! Lovely humor.

I do hope he is NOT outside

    perspiring in public.

  • LOL

  • How is your Rose? Did she ever marry someone socially acceptable so she can have a mercedes, sauna and room for a pony?

  • Hello! I am Portuguese and I heard of this series very well but as the episodes are all in English can not understand very well someone knows a site or a endreço with episodes in portguês.

  • "Rose, you will not commit suicide. I forbid it." LOL.

  • 3:43, LOL!!!!!!

  • ...it's the mark of a thoughtful hostess--"whoops!"

  • Oh look; it's Boy George as a woman!!!

  • i feel sorry for Richard

  • Apart from the comic timing of Patricia Rutledge and all the rest of the cast, what really made this show great for me was that it was based in reality: I'm sure we've all known people like Hyacinth in our lives sometimes! I often find myself thinking "Yes, that's just like so-and-so!"

  • Poor Elizabeth...

  • I think Elizabeth should drop another cup.

  • Love "The Bouquet residence".

  • I always feel bad for Richard.... Don't Raise Your Arms In Public....

  • 9:18 made my stomach hurt, that woman's killing me! XD

  • i love keepin up A. it is so funny classic

  • I really wish the BBC broadcasted more British comedies in the United States. 3 and a half hours of Britcoms every saturday night on PBS is simply unacceptable!

  • I love this show to death. Patricia Rutledge is priceless. She really deserves more recognition.

  • ´Why aren´t my roses as big as those next door?´ Hahaha. You must neglect them,Richard.

haha It just kills me every time she pronounces his name.

  • the last sentence just rocks :D :D

  • Richard, I don't want you to lift your arms like that in public

  • wonderful!

  • "Rose you will not commit suicide I forbid it!"...cracks me up everytime!Luv Keeping Up Appearances...it's such a shame they don't make good old fashioned comedy like this anymore!

  • B-U-C-K-E-T

    LOL

  • "No it's not Buc-ket, it's Bou-quet!!"

  • Thanks for the episodes! Such a funny show.
