  • BONO IS GAY,

    AGAIN!

  • cannot get over how fucking awesome this version is.

  • Amazing performance....awesome songwriting, musicianship & vocals....just love this!

  • can anybody find me link to this TV show.., When They Played Electioneering?

  • how the hell could anyone dislike this???!!!

  • This must be what plays during dreams.

  • i love this version but the one that takes the cake for me is glast 2003...fucking incredible performance

  • my jaws dropped at 3:15 and i was seriously graspin for breath by 6:00

  • The most face-meltingly awesome performance JH has ever hosted. Is the four-note sequence to "from a great height" a reference to a tune in Mendelssohn's Hebridean Overture (Fingal's Cave) (at around 2 minutes in)?

  • @KenilworthTom It's only 4 notes, I really doubt it, it's most likely co-incidence.

  • mindblowing

  • that couldn't be more live!

  • great to this day

  • If this song is supposed to be a joke that makes Radiohead the greatest comedians ever

  • @flickded well, looks like you're the minority of a million people who love this song.

  • I wish i could sing like Thom... and i don't even want to be a singer, it's just that HE'S SO FUCKING GOOD!

  • Comment removed

  • I guess @tangledupinriot said something about the glasses. Thom is wearin these like a BAWS

  • I like their stage there. Usually no one has specially prepared stages on Later...

  • Human? Them?

    No.

  • Best live performance of the possibly the best song ever written

  • If it was a live studio audience they would be out of control.

  • Johnny G it's like a magician of the guitar :O

  • 240p, we meet again.

  • coolest guitar solo

  • Dear all of Radiohead's mothers, Thank you for breeding awesomeness.

  • Not just the music and the band; the lights and the shots are awesome... It's like a perfect feeling!

  • I always thought he said ''this shirt makes you look pretty ugly''

  • @ram0000100 hahah me too

  • Who are 'wadio head'?

  • The ending always gives me serious goosebumps. The way Thom spins and the entire room is completely silent, and then, out of nowhere, the entire studio audience just simultaneously bursts into rapturous applause. I can imagine the entire audience with mouths agape, suddenly rising to their feet, completely blown away by the performance. I only wish I could have been there to experience it with them.

  • @Gelleeg im pretty sure it's not a live studio audience

  • @bdassvids oh it so is - believe me

  • The "rain down" section is the single most moving, beautiful piece of music ever composed.

  • His voice and those guitar riffs get me every time...

  • THOM YORKE !! I FUCKIN LOVE U DUDE !

  • these f*** nerds are geniuses

  • shame they hate the album now.

  • @mygoodguiness

As far as I know, no they don't, they hated TOURING at that time, they hated the success of the album and what it brought to the band, it was stressful.

The album itself? No, they don't hate it at all.

  • Simply the best song. Music just got owned.

  • This is awesome.

  • To the haters, your opinion is of no consequence at all...

  • Fuck me, blast from the past much? I remember watching this on TV in 1997...thank god for YouTube.

  • when i feel desperate for that thing, i'll listen to this

  • No thumb is big enough for the UP I feel for this performance.

  • This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I'm just sitting here, crying, because I forgot something could be so beautiful.

  • This was the first song I ever heard from Radiohead. I love the music video for this song.

  • @SabreFan84 It was the first Radiohead song I heard too... I remember thinking to myself "aw yeah, this is a pretty sick song" just at the beginning and every 30 seconds or so I remember growing more and more excited and amazed and by the time it got to the 'rain down' section my jaw was on the flaw :D Since then I've probably listened to every single sound-thing Radiohead have EVER released about 100 times minimum

I'm a tragic fan, they are ma faves <3

  • I just can't express how inspiring and beautiful Radiohead's music is, they seem to hit so many different types of music with the most unique and mesmerising sounds on each of their albums

From the 'Pablo Honey' grungy, young sound to the 'The Bends', gloomy but vibrant sound to 'OK Computers' alienating, galactic sound to 'Kid A's perplexing, synthy sound. The list goes on. They even diverse their music more with In Rainbows and King of limbs. How do they do it?!?!?!

  • Oh my gosh, it's rock, it's art ... it's excellence....

  • When I am king 218 people will be the first against the wall.

  • @DaFunkNinja

    220 u.u

  • 218 people have arrows stuck in their knees and so, couldn't click like.

  • awesome!!!!!111

  • At least 218 people have made comments about 218 people. Damn.

  • 218 people are kicking, squealing, gucci little piggies

  • 218 people are androids.

  • 218 people are the unborn chicken

  • @hadehate6327 218 Fans of justin bieber

  • 218 peoples=sick

  • 218 people are deaf.

  • When you play a live performance like that you can wear whatever spectacles you want - Awesome.

  • wait a sec, mr. holland doesn't allow any mime-shit does he?

    fucking hell....

  • @Aglardor Kid A awful?

  • What a great diference the concerts from 1997 from concerts of 2003 o Glastonbury , it seems thome yorke was less high and had more passion for singing that song. Whatever Radiohead will be the best!

  • nice cover U2.... or radiohead.... whattup with the glasses Thom? hahaha

  • Johnny is ridiculous on that Telecaster! This sounds as good as the studio/album version.....its live? Nutz. Pink Floyd of Gen X.

  • I can't like this enough.. it's art evolved! This song.. amazing

  • @historyris27 I agree. Radiohead is like when you are are super in love with a girl and and cant seem to get close enough while cuddling. When I watch radiohead I just can't like it enough! There are few words to describe it.

  • lololol he's wearing Bono's glasses.

  • @tangledupinriot

    BONO IS GAY ;)

  • @youboli Well, Bono sucks, but fuck off of homosexuals.

  • Why is he wearing those shades.

  • @BlakeIsOWNAGE

He's fucking Thom Yorke. He can wear whatever shades he fucking wants to wear.

  • Johnny Greenwood is the prime example of what good guitar is, and proof that it isn't about hitting as many notes as possible in a second. Awesomesauce.

  • goosebumps

  • MEMO: Att. Seekers [19-45] 2011Muttts-Walkers, An Acoustic Guitar (Negra) NYC.

  • the incredible-ness never gets old, and never fails to give me goosebumps.

  • @fernberger08 exactly!!!

  • so have big eyes with love inside

  • thom looks like i child molester with those glasses. lol@ 97 fashion

  • jonny's guitar is officially a victim of rape.

  • Probably the greatest song that came out of the 90's.

  • @theforsakenpiggies allelujah mah nigga

  • Increíble...

  • i love listening to this song, over and over again, amazing, great band, hands down to you guys...

  • From now im paradioheadoid android. ;)

Really good concert, if not lookin at numb 240p

  • I CANNOT stop watching this!! This is too freakin awesome!!!

  • Jhonny Greenwood es hermoso! me encanta su estilo

  • Johnny Greenwood looks unhealthily thin here.

  • well this is some piece of art!

  • radiohead=best musicians on earth

  • There are studio versions of songs by other bands that are of lower quality than this.

  • Jonny sounds like laser beams

  • I LOVE YOUTUBE!

  • Holy shit they're doing a good job here.. This is their best performance i have heard of Paranoid Android!

  • "I think we have to fix the studio up coz they've wiped it out"

    -Jools Holland

  • 215 personas chupan pijas y se tragan la leche...

  • Probably the best musical performance ever on the jools show!

    Just mega!

  • i'd have given my right testicle to be there

  • what kind of shades/glasses now thom? :)

  • FUCK ME, I LOVE the bassist in this song, he really stands out, and it sounds awesome.

  • @CaptainPengu It's not always how the artist perceives a song, it's how YOU perceive it.

  • Oh and for people saying that the 'rain down' part is something that touches them emotionally then I guess you'd be kinda disappointed about since Thom himself says that the song's... a joke pretty much and there's nothing personal in the song at all.

  • @CaptainPengu

Whether or not the song was intended as a joke or not doesn't matter... the effect is still the same

  • @CaptainPengu

Jonny Greenwood wrote the music for the "rain down" section. When Thom heard it he probably thought "wouldn't it be funny if I sang these lyrics and made this part into a mock religious hymn?" -- sticking with the cynical nature of the rest of the song. From what I've read, the song was constructed in a cynical way because radiohead was thought of by the media as depressed and morbid. So they constructed this super emotional piece to mock their own image and take the piss.

  • 240p, we meet again.

  • @Illmatiicc Thank you dear sir or madam for chuckling me.

  • @Illmatiicc In soviet rusia...240p is HD!!!!

  • @Illmatiicc be happy that he uploaded the video! and that joke is very old.

  • hrm uk rules

  • Only Radiohead could receive that sort of reception on Jools...

  • This alone sets the bar way too high for most come and go bands! Pure Class!!

  • un.be.liev.a.ble.

  • this performance made me cry. ugh. estrogen.

  • @hyfroC lmao

  • I'm sure that if I could watch this in 360p my face would melt off.

  • SIR JONNY GREENWOOD

  • Ok... Now, I can die in peace.

  • Ace.

  • God loves his children ... Yeah

  • from a great high...cause i m so fucking high...

  • The best.

  • Im not a Radiohead fan but for me personally 3:31-5:35 is possibly one of the greatest things ever recorded in musical history

  • @hotlikealienballs

Absolutely. The "rain down" section is absolutely the most beautiful piece of music I've heard in my entire life.

  • @hotlikealienballs

3:31 - 5:35 is what got me into Radiohead. Anyone who can compose such a moving piece of music must be absolute geniuses. I've been moved to tears many times during this part. It's like one man's desperate plea to god... as close as god as one can get in my opinion.

  • @elitet0kr

This is my favourite Radiohead song. I think it is superb. You're right about what the song feels like. A scared man who has no clue what the universe or his life is about...and the loud/hard rock sections is him saying 'Fuck you' to all hate, pain and destiny.

However I am a much bigger Beatles fan. A Day in the Life I greatly recommend a listen to. Tell me what you think if you haven't heard it before.

  • they need more cabs and amps

  • muse videos aint worth invading, they made 2 1/2 brilliant albums then went crap. radiohead are consistent ly brilliant!

  • @scobiedog1 Bollocks, both bands are great.

  • @MultiFunkalicious ...muse were great, radiohead are great.

  • @scobiedog1 In your opinion, yeah. However, Muse are still selling albums so I wouldn't say they're 'crap', when they clearly aren't. IMO

  • @MultiFunkalicious ok fair enough but i don't like their recent stuff, it's very samey & they try too hard to make every song sound like a classic rock anthem, the old stuff was fresh & original (still is).

  • Gotta love Ed's backing vocals

  • The man wrote Creep. He'll wear whatever the fuck he wants...

  • @BenL123 He has written songs that are waaay better than Creep

  • @BenL123 lolcreep. This>Creep. Alot actually>Creep.

  • Radiohead>Universe

  • Increible

  • dare I say it? a close second to floyd??

  • @apetitethusly YES!

  • @apetitethusly I'd say a close first XD

  • @etejuanete3 lol, how many people are going to take it THIS seriously? It was just a challenge my friend asked me to do. I accepted.

  • @saganemc2 - that is not an intelligent thing to say buddy. "Holly shit they're incredible live..." is the right wording.

  • @1tekirsahis not deserving them doesn't make YOU any less of a person, buddy. de-personalize your image of the comment and you realize, we, don't, deserve,...radiohead.

  • I love Radiohead!!!!

  • Radiohead is the most beautiful head I've ever come across :)
