I've owned three case knives, and they are great! I bought them all new, and they were not cheap; however, I got a great product and I'm convinced that I paid a fair price for an American-made product that was made by workers who received a fair wage. When you think about price points, think about what you're losing when you buy a knife manufactured in another country; keeping our manufacturing abilities does matter!
case cv knives are the best work knife. even better than any german knife i ever owned, the tru sharp case knives are more of a collocter knive not as good for work most people think they only come in yellow handles i got 1 in red bone that is cv and another chestnut bone that is aslo cv. diffantly hold up better than boker and much sharper easyer to resharpen and hold a edge longer
I like Victorinox better because they have more tools. You can get all sort of stuff like bottle opener, can opener, scissors, toothpick, nail file, etc for under $20. Most Case knives only come with blades.
You're comparing apples with oranges. Case knives are supposed to be classy looking traditional knives. Victorinox SAKs are multi tools, many people will carry a victorinox SAK as their multi tool and a pocket knife as their main cutting tool.
I'd argue that SAKs are just as traditional. Victorinox and Case were founded only a few years apart in the late 1800's.
I bought a Peanut a couple months ago and it's a handy little knife, only $20 for the yellow plastic scales, but I think I still prefer my Vic Soldier because the backspring is stronger and has a nicer snap to it when opening the blade
yeah man i just got a case 386 hunter/skinner gut skinned but up my 10 pointer real nice i use to have bucks the 119 special but case is better love the sergical steel blades didint have to sharpen it once and skinned my buck very nicley
The only case knives I really like are the yellow handle ones with the C.V. carbon steel blades. They are great real work knives, easy to sharpen, and stay sharp.
Great video showing the manufacturing of Case knives. I worked for Case in Hafting for 14 years back in the 60's & 70's and remember alot of things in this video along with alot of new production automation.Brings back alot of memories.
thanks for the vid. i got a Case knife that was made in '91 and it still works like new and i love it. if ur wondering were i got it my dad gave it to me
my grandpa left me his case xx knife when he died and it is an amazing little knifeit is razor sharp i love case xx knives

Great video...it was made by Allegheny Productions in Bradford, PA. Interesting that their name has been removed from this clip.

Spend an extra $10 for a Spyderco Delica. You get a nice pocket clip, better grip on the handle, better blade steel, and a good lock.

its hard to pick cuz case knives are hand made and vic knives are made on an assembly line and not hand sharpened
