Freddie....What a musical genius! When he sings "Who Wants to Live Forever" it just transcends you into the heart of the song. The rest of the band had to be outstanding in order to be at par with his incredible vocal range and ingenious interpretation of each and every song. Long Live Queen! Freddie, We Miss You Darling!

I love how "Who wants to live forever" sounds live. And his voice is very different during this song then others. He's not sounding as "rough", if ya understand. It's more clean and clear.

The whole tempo is higher than at Wembley. You can see, that all of them are more excited (even John who is usually more quiet). May be it has to do with the fact that, what Oberon sais, they were the first rock band playing behind the Iron Curtain. It must have been something to be really excited about.

Freddie's voice is in much better shape here than at Wembley.

Well if you think of the time between the two gigs, this was pretty much at the start of the tour and Wembley was second to last (seeing as most of the stuff from Live @ Wembley was taken from the first night) it's hardly surprising. The Magic Tour has been shoved down our throats as it was the most easily commercially available/shown of the ones they've released, this just shows you that there's more to the tour than the tired vocals of Wembley!

Back in 86 my cousin taped this show off the Hungarian TV. We then listened to it again and again until we wore the tape off. One of my formative listening experiences. Queen live forever!

It exists a vhs, anyway. I think you can find it in second hand shops. Freddie seems to have less problems with the nodules here. You can hear him struggle hard at Wembley whith it, you can hear it in the voice, the pain... He sings more relaxed here, knowing what notes he can and cannot take. He sure was one mighty singer, sure was. That's also what he wanted to be known for.

They didn't. The tape of the recording is probably somewhat warped, therefore giving it a slightly higher pitch. A lot of "overseas" albums from the classic rock era are that way too.
