  • Why dont the men stand on thier toes?? Are they not able?

  • @JUSTINMILL3R They could. They have more strength than women actually, but the purpose of dancing on pointe is to be graceful, weightless, and delicate - none of these features resemble men :) men are suppose to do all that awesome jumps and seem very elegant and strong.

  • @RocketQueen87 Thank you! I was wondering D:

  • this is a brilliant production of swan lake and love it. is there any better quality video of this production anywhere that i can buy?

  • me encanto interpretar esta obra es genial la amo

  • He looks just like Ken!

  • Arta, honestly, your forceful effort to convince us to visit your channel and that silly intro kind of ruined this vid for me. We are all thankful to you for uploading this for us, but please, less is sometimes more.

I think it will be enough just to put a note "thanks for watching, please visit my channel -link- for more" at the very end or beggining of the video next time... I am sure that everyone, who really liked this will visit your channel also without asking :)

  • I can't find any biographical info on John Markovsky or any close up pictures. WTH??

  • @Digemini8 Markovsky was married to Kirov ballerina Alla Osipenko. They both left the Kirov in the early 70s to dance with rogue ballet choreographer Boris Eifman (a very daring move at the time). They made a huge splash by doing a pas de deux to some music by Pink Floyd (a band which wasn't really approved of in the 70s USSR). Alla and John divorced later in the 70s and she went on to retire and teach all over the world. I've seen rumors that John is currently living in Israel.

  • @Koveena15 why do you concern yourself with how these people prefer sex? that has nothing to do with this work of art. in fact the composer was gay, still like it?

  • @Koveena15 Just because a guy does ballet doesn't mean he's gay. :/

  • can some one explain to me why is the prince sad and whats going on o.o

  • @ithinkitsred He has to find a wife and declare his love for her at his birthday ball.

  • 0:46 - 0:48 the prince looks like an animated prince.. wtf.!!

  • haha. that prince remain me of james franco...

  • The prince to me doesn't look like a real person lol.

  • it would be less annoying if you don't put the link on the video... like right in the middle

  • I just love this music so much. Brightens up my day :)

  • Why oh whyyyyy do you put your link in the middle of a brilliant performance?!

  • It makes me wish I stayed in ballet :(

  • damn that jester can JUMP

  • 2:18 OMGWTF, is it possible? WOW!!

The Jester and The Prince are both very hot *-* Siegfrid looks like Ken...

  • 2:18 Are you fucking kidding me...that was awesome

  • lets hear it for the Jester everybody!!!!

  • love how teh court jester is trying to liven things up a bit lol awesoem classical music

  • I do ballet but theses ppl espesially the guys are acc AMAZING :O wow i. LOVE IT !! :D

  • is the jester the guy in the leaf like print unitard

  • @CoutureDolls "is the jester the guy in the leaf like print unitard"

    yes

("jester" is a bit of a euphemism; the term in the text is "Fool")

  • Can't take my eyes off the prince, such a good dancer

  • 2:18 I am amazed he wasn't dizzy afterwards

  • it's simply amazing how the jester/servant can do all those piroettes (don't know how to write it), go round and round and then still manage to land so completely "wobble-free" in a planned pose!

  • interesting i have to check out a ballet show in person.

  • Yes, the Jetster is outstanding. He was imprisoned for trying to defect to Israel, for two years.

  • Yes, the Jetster, played by Valery Panov, steals every scene he's in.

  • Siggy is not hot at all. I don't know what crack pipe people are smoking. I know beauty is subjective and more than skin deep, but damn. That Jester dude is way hotter. And this ballet rocks.

  • Siegfreid looks like Frankenstein

  • The Jester was Valery Panov, one of the great "unknown" dancers.

  • @jkokich not so unknow saw him in london in 1979.and met markovsky also in spt in the same period ,great time

  • I wanna date a guy that can dance haha:)

  • is this animated?

  • @fairyangel98 I can see how you think it's animated, but it's not. It's just the make up. n.n

  • ballet dancers are INSANE-ly fit.

  • how can that red suit guy be so energized ????? : /

  • That prince is HANDSOME xD

But for now the Jester is my favourite dancer!

  • @NyanzersChan that jester has some moves! haha

  • I think the jester's my favourite dancer so far. :) That ballet dancer must be sooo dizzy by the end of each of his "spin fests". :) Possibly some of that other dancing was too fancy for me, but I loved the en pointe. Very good.

  • Very beautiful and i am amazed how they can keep a straight face all the way through

  • AAAAH MORRRI ! o.ô EU QUERO ELE PRA MIM ! AYSGAYSAGAY

  • @XDuudaX Ele é muito gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaato!!! :)

  • I think the dance at 4:21 is very CUTE, if there isn't a better word for it. It made me smile big.

  • *_* my prince, thats him *_**

  • So wonderful!

  • The best Jester I have ever seen.

  • their footwork is amazing
