  • Awesome channel.

  • Jeff, you're doing a great job! Thank you so much for your ministry and work.

  • @punkylilkid Thank you very much, I appreciate that.

  • you are a good teacher!

  • So could sin be the mark of the beast ?

  • Loving all your videos, truly on open door into the realities of the divine language!

  • @yourboydano3 Thank you, I appreciate that.

  • I've done a bit more Greek studies than Hebrew, lol. I thought it was neat to be so similar.

Geez, I didn't mean to be one of those to make a gazilion comments on one thread. Sorry! Lol. So now I'll stop rambling and go watch another video! :-)

  • @JDDsHoneyBee Thank you for your encouragement and I'm glad you have found the videos so useful.

  • You mentioned in this series about God being on the journey and it totally made sense to me about when God said he would not go with the Israelites any further and Moses pleaded to not have to go w/o God. I'm probably butchering that with all my english, sorry! Anyway, that came to mind as an instance where repentance and the trail thing were actually seen well to me. Oh and the Greek word for sin used in the NT also means concretely to miss the mark. I've done a bit more Greek studies than Heb

  • (cont) I stumbled on your videos and have been addicted, even to the comments after each since you are so responsive to your viewers questions or differing opinions. I find I may not always see things the same way but the foundations you've helped provide are awesome. I honestly have no time to be digging into this stuff (single mom of 3) but I find myself here night after night. I don't always retain the specifics but the perspective is growing in me! Just a thought too. You mentioned in this

  • I just have to say here that I've been eating all these series up. My desire to learn more about the original Hebrew culture and language (which seem to go hand in hand) was stirred when reading The AD Chronicles series by Bodie and Brock Thoene. They use historical fiction to bring the stories included in the Gospels and others that could have happened to life and throughout it use these language concepts to explain the meanings behind all of scripture. I stumbled on your videos and have been

  • awesome teaching. Best of the best. Baruch HaShem

  • @brazilian777able Thank you.

  • Seven different colors of awesome. Excuse the culture specific complement ;) Thanks you Jeff Benner. Some of these retranslations send me praying and meditating right away.

I do have to note to the other skepticists that, yes of course, I don't (always) agree with Mr Benner's conclusions when I look into it myself, but the fact is I owe so much of my knowledge and passion of Hebrew (and inderectly of Linguistics itself) to Jeff's work. Keep it up man!

  • @Duplooytim Thank you very much for the compliment, and I don't expect everyone to agree with all of my definitions, heck, I find that I disagree with myself on occasion lol. I know that there are errors and flaws in my work, but I see it as a foundation for others to build on, and, as has happened on many occasions, they critique my work often providing new insights to me too.

  • TORAH (Fire Bull) Taurus (Torch) TORO (Bull)

Thus "LAMP" and "LIGHT" to my feet.

    RA = light

    Taurus BULL (EL) "Taurus RA"

  • YAHweh the path of YAH! The circular path of the annual year, circle of day and night that the moon and sun take. The MOON and the SUN shoot their ARROWS which are the light beams, BOW of the MOON GODDESS and she shoots her Arrows, just as Apollo shot his SUN gold arrows. Always two meanings, the obvious and the hidden. The shooting of ARROWS is also sexual, that's why SIN the Moon God is talked about. Trespassing is the sexual violation of the sacred temple, the path. DO NOT MISS the MARK!

  • YAH is the MOON, ancient Hebrews worshipped the one god Nanna or Sin, the Moon God. Yahweh, is the path of the MOON, the path that leads his people (humans), thus the Hebrews, Islam and even us (Americans) use and follow YAHweh, or the path of YAH the MOON, because we all base our time, life, and calendar to the Moon, and of course the sun, thus a Solar Luna calendar. The Hebrew Israelites worship on moon dates 100%, they are MONotheistic (Moon), like a Monarchy, or the first day, Monday (moon).

  • Thank. It was like a little sermon

  • Good. Though, a bit skeptic about the Torah/ Journey part. Well put together.

  • @firstfruitsPT Thank you, but just so you know, I myself was pretty skeptical about the Torah/Journey part at first. However, the more I looked into it the more I was convinced of it.

  • C'est fascinant, la langue hébraïque est magnifique!

  • @TruthSeekingOne - Continued....

"It is clear that the word Jehovah is an artificial composite."

("Jehovah," The New Jewish Encyclopedia, 1962 ed.)

"The Masoretes, who from the 6th to the 10th century worked to reproduce the original text of the Hebrew Bible, replaced the vowels of the name YHWH with the vowel signs of Adonai or Elohim. Thus the artificial name "Jehovah" came into being."

("Yahweh," The New Encyclopedia Britannica, vol. 12, 1993 ed.)

There's really nothing further to discuss.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives So you are saying it cannot be pronounced JHVH then when speaking German? Any idiot knows the vowels were input there to be able to pronounce SOMETHING rather than nothing (in English we can't say the name JHVH without using vowels). Just because the vowels are not able to be proven as correct (and maybe they are certainly not the best vowels to be chosen) but this idea does nothing to dispel the usage of the name as it is said UNLESS you actually know the correct vowels.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives So rather than hating others for a certain way they say God's name how about you get a life and realize that it doesn't really matter how you say it - the fact is that you are trying to say it as accurately as you can - and since no one knows the exact way to say it I would think Jehovah is just as good as any (or Yaweh). It would not offend me if others wanted to say it 100 different ways though. So you miss the entire point.

  • @TruthSeekingOne - As previously mentioned, there's really nothing further to discuss. As I've already exposited using authoritative sources and impeccable reasoning, "Jehovah" is not the name of the God of Israel. It's flattering that you continually insist otherwise, but you're in error.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives. Yes this has been pointed out for years and never gets rectified, bit rude to mis-represent YHWH,

''we'll just give him a nickname'' Says the JDub

  • @HeroOfChristArchives YHWH from the divine name are vowels and not consonants, the so called matres lectionis

  • @TruthSeekingOne - To further validate my point using credible sources:

"Jehovah — False reading of the Hebrew YAHWEH."

("Jehovah," Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, 1973 ed.)

"Jehovah — erroneous form of the name of the G-d of Israel."

(Encyclopedia Americana, vol. 16., 1972 ed.)

"Jehovah — a mispronunciation of the Hebrew YHWH, the name of G-d. This pronunciation is grammatically impossible."

("Jehovah," The Jewish Encyclopedia, vol. 7, 1904 ed.)

    Continued....

  • Wow ! this is absolutely wonderful & I love the exact translation of Jerusalem :-))

Thank you for all that you do & in helping us to understand the Torah so much better !

    Peace & Love .

  • @26mel1 Thank you and you're welcome.

  • This was awesome! Thank you! and keep up the good work!

  • @antso12 You're welcome, and thank you :)

  • This series is so intensely awesome! I was so happy to to see a 5 of 5 in my subscriptions. Number four was amazing, to discover He is on the path with us, that was amazing. This video is the icing on the cake. What a great series! Thank you Jeff Benner for doing this for everyone. What a great ministry you have been blessed with.

  • @goffnett Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the series.

  • Thank you!

  • @TheLastReformation You're welcome :)

  • hebrew has no aesthetics of sound whatsoever.

  • Jeff, THANK YOU! You and your team are a HUGE blessing to this old goy (me). The written word of The Holy One of Israel becomes MUCH richer just from enjoying these little lessons. GOOD STUFF! Be BLESSED! You are a BLESSING!

  • so glad u break it all down,,,thanks very much...

  • Primitive language, primitive beliefs; Bronze Age Near East primitivism.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives That's what we must return our mindsets to, in order to begin to understand. Everything becomes clearer when we step back and take it all in. It makes a bit more sense...like widescreen. If you crop the edges, you miss it's true meaning.

  • @ChristopherJManess

Yes, I agree that it takes a primitive mind to understand primitive concepts.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives I find it sad that so many have an egotistical swagger, separating themselves from the sum of their parts. I love connecting the pieces and learning about how things came together. Like going from early humans to advanced civilizations. I see our present situation return to such ways, if we don't destroy ourselves in the process. What are your thoughts?

  • @ChristopherJManess asked: "What are your thoughts?"

What are my thoughts? You really want to know my thoughts?

Jewish Talmudism and Bronze Age primitivism be damned.

Those are my thoughts - my uncensored, unvarnished thoughts.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives So, you think negative and ignorantly shun any thoughts of this nature? I hope you learn to love yourself, instead of hating. The negative energy only hurts you. Positive energy however allows you to explore new life and experiences. In time you will learn this, even if it is on your death bed. I'm a pagan, so I guess you feel negative about me too?

  • @HeroOfChristArchives The only person here displaying a primitive attitude is you buddy.

You probably can't even comprehend learning a different language, especially one as rich as Hebrew - and if you knew anything at all you would know how most languages come from Hebrew, so you obviously are ignorant of history as well as language which makes you a complete novice.

Draw close to Jehovah, and he will draw close to you my friend.

  • @TruthSeekingOne

Right, since multilingualism is SO utterly incomprehensible.

Hebrew is just another primitive Canaanite language.

"Most languages come from Hebrew." LOL Brute ignorance.

Few languages derived from Classical Hebrew. The predominant languages spoken worldwide are almost totally Indo-European languages. This is especially the case in civilized first-world nations.

Oh, and "Jehovah" is an untenable translation of Hebrew יהוה.

Now, who is the complete novice? That would be you.

  • @HeroOfChristArchives Can you give a few examples of Indo-European languages and where they root from?

Jehovah is a fine translation of יהוה if you speak German, and it became a popular way of saying God's name in English as well, do you have any specific problems with that variation of the name besides just rambling about it being bad?

    /watch?v=b-Bqe5rfl5s&feature=channel_video_title

  • @TruthSeekingOne asked: "Can you give a few examples of Indo-European languages and where they root from?"

Due to limited characters and time, I'll direct you to the comprehensive .svg image appearing on the Wikipedia page for "Indo-European languages" which displays the entire Indo-European language family tree. Just Google search File:IndoEuropeanTree.svg and click the first link.

  • @TruthSeekingOne - Translators mistakenly combined the vowels of "Adonai" with the consonants "YHWH" (Masoretic vowel pointing!) to produce "Yahowah". During the Reformation period, German translators erroneously transliterated the term into German. "Y" was pronounced as "J" and "W" was pronounced as "V", thus "Jahovah". During translation into English in the 17th century, the transliteration was retained as "Jehovah". This incautious error has even been reproduced in some modern translations.

  • finally! lol...... hope everything is going alright?

  • @medievalman86 Thank you for asking. Yes, things are going very well, just very busy :)

  • thank you brother.do you know where i can learn hebrew?any online hebrew learning page?

  • @turi73 Go to my Youtube channel, in the "description" I have a link to my website, scroll down the left side to "Learn Hebrew." There we have free lessons, with audio, for learning how to read Biblical Hebrew.
