  • My Mum's 50 and she still shops at H&M and newlook :P

  • i agree with you! people always think im too young too shop at express and buckle (im 13) but it looks cute, so why not?!

  • So now everyone thinks you said you're 50.

  • She isn't 50 she says if I'm 50 xxxxx

  • Where does she say she is 50 ????

  • "IF i'm workin' out my legs and i'm 50..." key word: IF. lol i'm pretty sure she's not 50! if she is, she needs to tell us her secret!!!

  • i am a mom and not in my twenties. most people think i'm like 22. I don't think because you're a mom or not 21 you have to wear floral dresses with shoulder pads!! i always wonder at what age i should stop shopping in the junior section.. but i figure i'll shop there til i don't like it anymore!!! i don't know when that switch happens.i mean, at what age do you walk by a christmas sweater with jingle bells on it and think "dang, i need that sweater!" hahaha!!!

  • serious.. how old r you???

  • You look 25. You can wear whatever you want to wear in my book.

  • I love you! I am 39, I run and work hard to keep myself in decent shape. I love to dress up and look femine, at work, when I go out out whatever. When I shop the so called "age appropriate" clothing for me it is so freakin frumpy that I tend to shop at forever 21 and in the junior sections of department stores and at least take away some ideas. I also shop at New York and Co, etc. I think if you can wear it and it looks good then go for it.

  • I think if someone is a mom, they shouldn't dress like a slut anymore. Like Brittanya on I love Money 4. I guess the way she dress matches the way she acts, though

  • you can't be 50. Like.. omg..you look so young!!!! Whatta hell is your secret woman? Seriously...50? OMG! I tought you were around 22-25!

  • I'm involved in a Japanese alternative fashion called Lolita, and it's not 'age appropriate' for anyone over 5. But I love it. So I wear it.

  • can you please please please do a hair tutorial on this style?

  • idk why but I think you're freaking hot! >_< I hope my gf doesn't watch this video.....my gf is hotter though ;-) (just in case she watches it) lol

  • haha, lol.

    ppl have bad hearing :P

Personley i hear/interpret what you say as; if you were 50 you would wear a skirt if you had nice legs.

    End of story :P

  • if you're fifty and have really nice legs, then yea, show them off a little bit, but it's best to do so with class. it isn't appropriate for someone who is fifty to be going around with their more-than-likely saggy ass hanging out of a mini skirt. it's best wear like a knee-length skirt or a pencil skirt. also with celebrities, especially teen celebrities. they shouldn't be dressing like a 24 year old stripper if they have 5 years olds looking up to them......

  • Elyssa I cannot believe you are 50! That is insane!

  • So, IF you're 50, then you would?

  • ur seriously 50?? omg!! i thougt u were 19 lmao

  • @starxxxrockxxxstar I think you need to watch that part again :) I am no where near 50

  • @pursebuzz o i thought u said im 50 not if i were lmaoooo

  • t w i t t e r . c o m / r a c h b u c k s

  • Oh my gosh... I went shopping (see my latest spycam video) at Alexander McQueen and I thought that his stuff was too young for me... but I bought something anyways ;-D

  • i think thats a great attitude, but i'd be pretty shocked if my mum walked outside in a floresent pink mini dress. i think that adult should wear what they like and be fashionable too, but i seriouslly think that very short and mabye sometimes tacky stuff they really can't get away with.

it makes me smile when i see a 70 year old struting her stuff in a really fashionable outfit/ something not boring :) i think everone should be that way

  • i think the same way as you . but a 7 yr. old shouldnt wear mini skirts and makeup . lol !!

  • @daddysgirl432 Lol, I think that's basically because they would go crazy with the makeup, and they don't know what the boundaries are with mini skirts. They'd hitch them up once they hear the word 'Mini'.

  • @doris1716 i thought she said she was 50 too... rewatched it a few times still sounds like you said you were 50 hahahaha:)

  • no no no yuo cant be 50!!!!! you look 18-20! omg!!! you are going to be like 80 and look 30-40! your soooo pretty!

  • I think people should wear what is FLATTERING to their shape, skin coloring etc. So whatever that is, wear it. Too many people get caught up in "I have to wear what's COOL". Wear what's YOU.

  • Your 50 :O omg u look like your 20!!! Wish that i could look like you when im 50:)

  • @doris1716 lol I am closer to 20 than 50. Probably need to rewatch that part ;)

  • why do u have it taped in ur bath room .just wondering because every video i have seen of urs it is always done in the bath room can u please explain why it is done there

    per437

    please reply

  • ur 50?!?! u look 20!!!!!!

  • Everyone is unique. Feel free to wear whatever you want!

  • i say anyone can wear wat they want as long as u lk it

  • I get alot of "you're a mother now, you should clean up your style." I dress in a way that I am comfortable with and makes me happy. I am not going to start wearing mom jeans because it makes someone else happy. I am an adult. If I want purple hair, piercings, and a little bit of cleavage, I can do that. Because no one dresses me but me.

  • Umm I'm Gonna Sub To you but as soon as i get a cam can yhuu sub to me?

  • i think stores dont have age restrictions but it looks really weird if a 50 year old has short shorts and a tube top.old ladies shouldnt be revealing their "body" like that if your young u can get away with cute styles but older ppl not so much

  • im 19. and i have a boss whos like 40 something n hes like a dad to me.. and he commented on some shorts of mine n was like "those are nice whered u get them?" and i said papya from the mall.. immediately he says, isnt that for the teenagers?.... haha.. idk wat people are talking ab wen they say dont wear this or that i think its all a matter of opinion and i wear wat i like and i like in style stuff. if im too "old" 4 it, OH WELL! ahha.. lifes too short for u to care wat others think. <3 :)

  • i think sexy at any age is great, but there is this thing called just trashy......its ok to be a little sexy at any age, just stay away from trashy,lol......we need more hair videos

  • confidence is key, and confidence is a stain they can't wipe off (:

  • it's okay i saw a fifty year old at forever 21 and she seemed fashionable so it wasn't weird at all. since you are still so young forever 21 it's totally okay to shop. if you look good then go for it!!

  • i agree with you, i had a pair of shoes, no one likes them but there bright green with pink and black all over them. and i do the kids clothes thing, i can wear a large or medium in there shirts lol and im almost 17(:

  • not only should we dress age appropriate but size as well! Sorry..size 16+ should not wear low riders ( or combine with short tight shirts for that matter ) :o) jmo

  • I think it's more important to be body appropriate. Just because they make it in your size doesn't mean you should wear it

  • i love ur hairstyle here..do u have a tutorial for this one???Ur gr8t!!!!

  • One more thing...if you want to check out my style visit my OOTD videos =) Take care hun, great post!

  • Hi, I am 33 and still shop at Forever 21...but with a keen eye for what is age appropriate. It's a fine line but I can still pull it off, I just look for things that are a little more sophisticated but still fun and that stays with the trends! I am also not afraid to show off my body but I do it subtly and with style! I am married but live in the beautiful city of San Diego and love to show off my style =)

  • I think that when a woman who's 50 is trying to look exactly like a 20-year-old (which I have seen!), it's a bit too much like she's paying attention to what other people are telling her- society saying that only young women are beautiful etc. I think dressing how you want should involve a pride in how old you are. An older woman can dress like a woman in control better than any 15 year-old pretending to be Carrie Bradshaw.

  • ha ha im in my mid 30's and i shop at wetseal, forever21 and all those type of stores, i dont look my age and i certinely dont feel it so i pull it off very well.

  • It's funny that you mentioned about being 30 a couple of times in the is video because I just turned 31 yesterday and have a 2 year old and I feel like for the first time in my life I am confidant enough to find my own personal style, no matter what form it takes.

  • i totally agree with u, i luv bright colors, bows and other cutesy stuff, and il be wearing this for as long as i live!! lol i'l just integrate the cutesy look according to the style i'l be wearing for the years to come!! i'l be a cute styled lookin grandma haha

  • i dont mind wearing kids close. it fits me since im really tiny (only 4 11 ft) and its cheaper.

  • I'm a larger girl who has larger ( Y ) for me it was easy to show them off but now looking back the kind of attn i got i didnt care for. I started making my own clothes where it was looser or hugged better. But still I showed my ( Y ) cuz well i love them and like you dont care what ppl wanted. I say go for it. If it makes them uncomfy look the other way, but don't forget that however you look, be open and ready at heart for whatever *they* may say. <3 Sunshine

  • i love 4ever21 and im 21 with a child but just becuase im a mom doesnt mean i cant shop there anymore. my mom is 50 and she looks good and shops at forever21 not meaning she buys clothes where you can see her underwear but she feels young and looks good so why not wear what you want. just be sensibile in what you pick you can still show some skin just not your whole body lol.

  • right i agree Elessa just have common sense but im a mom of 3 and 34 yrs old and was always scared to do pink highlights in the back of my underlayer and finally i did it and ppl always compliment me so ya just use basic common sense. Good vid.

  • you're right my dear (:

  • if you look young then were what ever as long as its not inapropiate for all ages

  • This is pretty controversial but for me...modern moms should not wear F21 type of fashion, many of them look nice in that in spite of their ages, but the majority just looks tacky and the attitude does not help. As same as when grownups buy modern clothes for their babies...or let their kids to wear clothes that are for older ages... I belive that there are ages for everything including fashion.

  • i know this is off the subject but i love the hairstyle

  • i know this is off the subject but i love the hairstyle

  • i think, that def, if it makes u feel good, then u should wear it, now i'm about to be 30 this summer, and i still shop at 4ever21, i don't feel old and sure as heck don't act old. i don't wear revealing shirts and mini skirts anymore, because my beliefs have changed, but i still look good and sexy w/out revealing much, i do wear form fitted clothing, but it is always tasteful don't know if that makes sense..

  • I dunno, I'm 31 and I wear what I want. I collect sneakers, and designer vinyl toys. I think people should just live and have fun. Life is short right? Who cares! You're adorable by the way. :D

  • I think that when a person feels good about her/himself inside, that will be noticeable on the outside. It doesn't really matter how expensive or fashionable the clothes are, as long as you have fun when dressing up. If someone else likes what I wear, great, but if not, I just don't really care. If everyone liked the same things the world would be a very boring place and manking wouldn't ever evolve if we all thought the same way. XOXO

  • I think it's more like... body appropriate attire. If you've got the goods, show it off... in a classy way. Obviously, if you're out on the street and someone asks you which corner is yours, you're not wearing enough fabric. Also, I think that when a woman becomes a mother, you're kinda representing your child as well, so definitely you should dress a bit more conservatively.

  • I generally wear what I want even if i KNOW it's weird looking but at times I have days where I feel a little shy or a little to old to be dressing like a teen (perhaps if i had the body for it) so I might tone it down at times but on other days I just don't care & want to SET the trend instead. I'm a mum so I try not to wear too slutty or overly revealing clothes espec when I pick the kids up from school. I like to look wholesome and while I may go for a little sexy I'm still cautious then.

  • @ShesThe1yup having said that though I am a forward thinker and I think the body is a beautiful thing even if we were all nudests it's just nature and how God made us, I think in that sense revealing clothes can be more slutty than nothing at all lol

  • @ShesThe1yup i totally feel u on that..i mean is it really necessary to wear a micro mini?? i mean u can tell by what the person wears, how they want to be received. i no longer go to the clubs, but i do see what girls wear no adays and wow, what is the point in going, u can't dance because ur skirt is too short and ur heels too high, man i would go to the clubs looking cute in my tims or sneakers, jeans and a belly shirt and jamm out on the dance floor...

  • @3layerzdeep yea exactly you can looks wholesome and still be cute even sexy. I guess it depends on you wearers mood and the situation your in :) :)

  • @ShesThe1yup ok, ok...now i know the comment lol..thanx girl..and thanx for subbing, really appreciate it...

  • I think that choosing what to wear is a form of self-expression, and in terms of what styles and fashions you like, you shouldn't hide yourself. But there are some times when knowing what to wear is appropriate, such as the difference between going out at night and in the workplace. There has to be that awareness of knowing the setting too. (cont.)

  • @petodorremova

As for mothers, I tend to think that they shouldn't wear what they wouldn't want their daughters wearing, if they have any, & the same goes for if they wouldn't want their sons thinking women just go around in revealing clothing, even though it's true that some do. It affects their children in the sense that kids need to learn to respect themselves & know the difference between self-expression &being too revealing, if that makes sense. In either case, there should be a balance.

  • go for it, but wearing a mini skirt where ur butt is hanging out at 50 years old is inappropriate. it's fine to show some leg, but it's better if it's done tastefully.

  • Ur completely right!!! I totally agree, if it works for u go for it!!! :)

  • honestly, people can do whatever they want as long as they're not directly harming someone else. if people wear revealing clothes and i don't like it, i don't have to look at it. plus, people wearing clothes i don't like does not directly harm me in anyway. i strongly believe in self-determination... and yes, i'm a social liberal.

  • I am conservative I suppose. I believe if you are past 21 or so, you shouldn't show off both your legs and your chest. I hate seeing girls in a miniskirt or really short shorts, and wearing a plunging neckline shirt. I hate when girls look trashy and slutty. I believe a woman should wear whatever looks good on them and is classy. If she is wearing something fun, yet pretty, go for it!

  • Love you hair style, Could you do a Hair Tutorial for this look??

  • I believe that you should look however you want to, regardless of age. Your image is one of the only things that you can have complete control over, and I think it's very liberating to be able to express yourself through it. Personally, I believe that you should also respect yourself,( i.e not show certain private areas of your body through tight/revealing clothing!) but that's just my opinion. Elessa, I totally agree: kids' clothes are sometimes cheaper and more fun :) Great video.

  • I'm 34 and I always get told I look younger, (thank God). But I do think that somethings don't look appropriate for my age. I mean, who wants to see a 30 year old booty. I still get hit on by younger guys and I don't feel like I have to show much. I guess looks sort of go away but with time confidence builds up. I like my body, (I am 133 pounds and 5'01").

  • How old are you? I'm gonna guess late 20's, early 30's I think would be pushing it.

I'm 21 and I pretty much always rock the jeans and a band shirt, but I'm starting to dress more feminine in accordance with the boyfriends' wishes.

When you have kids, once they reach about 6 years old and start takin' em to prep, it's time to start covering up the boobs, NO ONE likes mutton-dressed-up-as-lamb, so no huge vnecks it's embarrassing "mum".

once you hit menopause like mid 40s u gotta be modest

  • I think there is no age appropriate things, I think it is all on appropriate to your shape and style. There are things NO one should wear and looks HORRIBLE! But yet we see people wearing those items!! If u look good to yourself and not hanging out of something or squeezed so much into something that it looks like it will rip... try it on. Just bring a honest friend with you who will not spare ur feelings and tell u what u look like.

  • Elesa, could you do a video with your hair and makeup in here?

  • Honestly? I'm a mom, and I try hard not to embarrass my son. Beyond that? I wear whatever I want, because I feel like life is way too short to worry about if someone thinks I'm too old to wear something.

This means that sometimes I'm wearing kitty shoes and stripey socks, and sometimes I've got pink chunks in my hair. Yea, I'm over 30... and no, I don't really care if people think kitty shoes aren't appropriate. :D

  • Oops I mean I do believe if you are a mother... Sorry

  • I believe if people want to wear something then go ahead and wear it. It's their body, no one should tell them what to wear. But I don't believe if you are a mother you should wear clothes that are more proper and not too revealing. I mean if you have nice legs go ahead and show them off but you don't have to wear shorts or skirts that are super high. I like sophisticated, classiness then something that looks like your just wearing lingere.

  • I personally think that anyone can wear what they want and they shouldn't live inside a box, but there should be a small limit as to the amount of skin that you should show. but other than that people should be themselves. As for the age rule i think that if you a mother or a parent you should check with your children to make sure that there isnt any problem there.

  • You people make me laugh. She's not 50. She said "...and if I'm 50 and have nice legs... then I'm gonna wear it."

  • I don't necessarily think that people of a certain age need to adhere to clothes appropriate for their age, but I hate when people wear clothes specifically to get attention at work or school, or clothes that are designed for the sole purpose of showing off the body without having the redeeming qualities of being elegant or interestingly-designed. But oh my GOD, I thought you were in your early thirties! That's amazing! I hope I look half as good as you when I'm fifty!!

  • OH MY GOD. YOU'RE 50????????????? DUDE! I thought you were older, but not that old! YOu look so good!!!

  • I love Forever 21 and i am 31 years old. I don't care either. If someone doesn't like it...oh well!

  • i like your hair in this tutorial....

  • it's okay to buy what you want. just cuz someone's aging doesn't mean they have to suddnly get a new wardrobe with granny clothes.

but people DO have really critical opinion so if you don't care what people say then dress how you'd like!

  • wear whatever you want... unless your partially nude and offending people.

  • Hi Elessa! I agree with most of the other comments, everyone should wear what they feel comfortable in. However I notice that I see a lot of people wearing clothes I wouldn't wear if I had a figure like them (for instance, if a chubby woman wears a mini skirt). On the other hand, I also think that person has a lot of guts to wear such a skirt... But I do think that it's none of my business what other people wear! Love, Tamara (The Netherlands)

  • Hello, I like your videos and let me tell you that the first time I began to see the videos of makeup guru, was one that was yours and that made me addicted to these videos. And please use whatever you want for clothes and make-up, life is too short to be wondering if others approve or not your clothes or your style, in the end you use what makes you happy, because only you have to live with yourself every day.

  • I don't really think anything about age appropriate, more like body type appropriate.

  • I think you should wear whatever you want because its your body not anyone elses

  • Wear what you like, be yourself. The only thing that restricts me is what is looks like on. If I don't have the legs or tummy to make the outfit look good then I choose not to wear it. Age is just a number.

  • I just realized that you kinda sound like Bridget from the "Girls Next Door". lol.

  • @LcsDesigns haha I get that a lot

  • @pursebuzz you do! =)

  • @pursebuzz remindes me of the show 'I get that alot'... IT IS YOU! haha jk

  • @LcsDesigns what's that? a show?

  • ¿When we can see in bell bottoms andplatform sandals? ¿Whay dont try some clogs?

  • you have a small dark patch on the right side of your nose.

(Left side for us when we're watching the vid)

  • I think you look great in everything you wear and do because you have good fashion and cosmetic sense, but there will be people who think you mean that you can wear really tacky or inappropriate things at any age. I think times have changed and people can dress cool at any age, but you still have to be aware of what looks good on you as a person and have the intuition to know when it's time to hang up the micro-mini's..... In the end it's about looking good and feeling good about yourself!

  • There's a rule I heard about that you should only wear a trend once. If it comes back again then you're too old this time around to wear it. However, I think you should wear whatever you're comfortable with. If you think you're too old to wear something it's gonna show through.

My only concern with this is when I go to work. I work in a high school, am in my 30's but still look like I could be a hs student. I just don't want to be wearing exactly what my students are wearing.

  • @berrybellajoy I've never heard of that rule...though I'm not sure it would apply to all trends. One trend I'm seeing in stores now was only there a two years ago. I was 21, and I think I can still wear those clothes now even though the trend is coming around again.

  • i like your morals :)

  • I just wear what I like, I agree with you :). I do feel like my mom should look like my mom and not my sister. She dresses really nice (she's not super tiny but she always looks good, so does my aunt) but they shop at like Chicos, and JJill and not Forever 21.. they look very classy, but they look age appropriate.

  • I think if you love it, then wear it!

My whole family wears what we wants. Its odd to see us in the street - one sister likes the Gothic look, my other sister wears jeans and hoodies, I like the girlie stuff, and our mother wears 'younger' clothes.

I think we all look fantastic!

Also, I have very small feet, so my shoes are usually kids shoes. It doesn't bother me - I like pink. :) If I need to be 'respectable' (like for work) I wear heels. Simple.

  • i used to care about wearing "brand name" clothes that was super expensive... but surprisingly, 17 magazine helped me figure out that it didn't matter what everyone else thinks, just wear what you want, express your own style, and buy clothes the you absolutely love. Who cares if their hurley or roxy or whatever, if everyones wearing the same thing, you can't tell them apart. I mean sure you can still wear brand name clothes but you don't need to. :) ... thanks 17

  • i wish i could fit into kids clothes. =0) lol!

i totally agree with you, and plus fashion recycles, so nothing is ever out of style, everything comes back =D which means it is always fashionable!

  • Hi Pursebuzz first of all i lovve all your videos and that is an interesting topic well my opinion on it is that people should be more self confident and wear whateva theey want to i mean is it agianst the law to wear bright colours just because you are 50 no i think people should be less selfconcious but more self confident about that stuff!

  • nice

  • I think anyone at any age can wear what they want and have fun with it.

  • I'm fine with 30 year olds going into Forever21... But 8 year olds going into Victoria Secret to buy a pushup bra goes a little too far

  • can you pls do a hair tutorial :D

  • hi pursebuzz.. nothing wrong with wearing clothes, even if the person is younger or older.. even my mother still dresses very casual and goes to the same stores that I do.. as long as it fits and you wear it at the appropriate occasion/event, its fine.

i dont think clothing has a restriction on who can wear and who cannot..

and guys, pursebuzz isn't 50.. i dont think she reached 30 yet..

  • If you love it... wear it. I love big, bold jewerly and I'm gonna wear it. It's fun and it suits my personality. When I wear some of my peices, my boyfriend always smiles and saids "beautiful"... lol.

  • Hey guys she wasnt saying she's 50 she was saying that koren's mom said something like tat she was giving an example! Obviously she's not 50!!

  • i feel exactly the same way

  • i think you should be able to wear what you want because for girls especilly when you get older you want to buy the clothes that will make you look younger not ones that show your age and the point in forever 21 is its pretty much a store with clothes a 21 year old would wear so age shoulden't matter for that

  • i think that if it looks good on you, that should be ok. however, rarely have i seen those who don't dress their age look presentable or respectable. when a 40-year-old mother dresses like she borrows from her teenage daughter's closet, i think it looks rather poor taste than expressing oneself.

  • you're fiffty?!

    you look so young thooo!

  • I purchase thing only I can afford, cuze i'm still a student. But I do agree that people has right to espress themself in whatever ways that they like. It's about creativity and personality

  • k people, SHE IS NOT FIFTY. done :)

btw ur gorgeous and i totally agreee!

  • i actually think its really cool when i see 40+ house wives at forever 21. most of them have orange tans too and platinum blond hair and/or extensions. hawt!

  • I am 47. I am in great shape and petite so I do end up shopping at Guess and Forever 21 at times because they have clothes that fit. They also have a lot of styles that I would not wear but you ignore those and get the ones that work. Living in L.A. women my age do wear more youthful looks so it is not a problem but I try to tone down the revealing stuff and I don't go for the cutesy things that I think just look silly at my age.

  • @tamick2000 - Totally agree with your comment. Doesn't matter how old you are, only about whether you make it look good...Dress for your body type, etc. I'm 33 and still shop at Forever 21 and any place else with cute stuff at good prices. But I only buy what I already know will flatter me. The fun thing about fashion is how you put it all together to make it your own look anyway.

  • @dizzydazl

I'm 31 and also shop there. Am I trying to hold onto my youth? Damn straight, but the clothes are super cute, and not too young. So cheers to us. :D

  • i think that this video has showed me and may other teenages that we should be ourself and to not follow the latest fashion just because its the latest fashion and i think that @midgetlovespeace is so right please do a video on flattering clothes because it makes me feel sad when i see other teeanages the same age as me but looking like sluts and getting all the boys ... i want to wear something flattering and something that makes me feel good and i think i neeed your help pursebuzz

  • lol. She is not fifty. She was giving a hypothetical example.

  • It's sgtrange how when teenagers are unsure about themselves, they wear less clothing thinkint it will make them look beautiful. Maybe that you should make a video showing what that they can still be modest, and show off their bodies in a flattering way, rather than a slutty way. I am just saying, when I can see their g-strings and if I take off two inches from their shorts they would be illegal to wear, maybe its time for an intervention.

  • @midgetlovespeace Very interesting. That is very true. When I say I wear what I want doesn't mean tube top and g-string.. its more like styles and colors. I think I can make your request happen <3 thank you!!!

  • @pursebuzz I can't wait :D

  • I think as long as you feel comfortable in it, then it's appropriate :)

  • Anything in excess is bad. So it is nice to dress in the way you like but without looking slutty or outrageous. I am close to be 30 and it is obvious that I cannot wear some things on now that I wore when I was 18!

  • I love your hair in this video, please do a tutorial :-) x

  • I think that it's never an appropriate to wear super revealing clothes. I think that a dress that you're butt's practically hanging out of and shows almost all your boobs is NOT good. But I think that if you're 35 and you want to shop at forever21 then that's cool, just don't wear anything to young. :)

  • spandex forever!!!!

  • tutorial please pleasepleaseee!!!!!

my prom is coming up soon and i need hair ideass!!!

    please do a tutorial!!!

oh and i think there is a certain extent...

some people look like they are trying too hard and other people can pull it off...

if you are trying to be young im not too sure but if you can pull it off and still look like you arent trying to be ten years younger then fine

  • she's 51

  • Age should not dictate what you wear--context should. Many do look younger or older than their age.

  • I think that all girls that are hot shouldn't wear clothes, because that would be stupid.

  • i really think its okay to wear whatever you want, whatever you like - its freedom, you get to wear whatever you want!, ...but there will always be that person or people that do criticise what you wear, so i think in total, you should be able to wear whatever you like, but just plz keep it appropriate, if you wanna wear a really short skirt- thats awesome but dont wear to an office or meeting, save it for a hot day to go shopping or a nightclub

  • I'm all about wearing whatever the hell makes you feel comfortable and confident. If that means wearing a live duck on your head or a mini skirt at 80, then go for it!

  • Great debate: looking age-appropriate. We're looking younger for our age, at the same time teens seem to mature a little earlier. I look quite young for my age. I'm frequently told that I look early 20's when in fact I'm 34. My style would be described as cute, but I'm looking to inject a little sophistication into my style. Think actress Audrey Tatou (Amelie). So long as you're having fun with your style and not trying to pretend or deny your true self....go for whatever look that pleases you.

  • I think they are allowed to wear whatever they want. As long as you're not like 66 years old wearing short shorts and a belly shirt. If you have the body for it, then go for it. If not, then dont. Not like you cant, cause are free too lol. But i think thats going a little too over the top getting a sweatshirt or whatever from the kids store, that just isnt right. Stick to stores that sell adult clothes.

  • Basically people need to understand what looks good on them and what makes them feel good. People shouldn't wear things for attention but simply what makes them feel happy in order to express themselves. :]

  • Got it flaunt it!

  • I feel the same way. The only thing I would say is that what you wear should goes with your personality. If you are fun and carefree, don't stuff yourself into a boring monotone business suit because you feel like that is what you "have" to wear. On the same token, if you are more reserved & want to break out a bit, don't go head to to trendy because it will come across like you are trying too hard and you won't feel or look comfortable. A lot of women panic as they get older & do this.

  • i cant believe your 50 i thought you were like 20 or 30

  • On her Viddler account it says she is 29 years old.. that looks more suiting. I definitely thought she meant she was 50 when she said that.. but, she must have just been using it as an example, lol.

  • I think that if it fits you and LOOKS age appropriate, then go for it. But moms who walk around with their teenage girls and look like them, its soo bad. Like moms (over 38 or you have a 12 (or older) child) then you should not be shopping at american eagle, or hollister, or A&F. Leave that to your teen. Also dont go to school dressed like in booty shorts and spagetti straps. Its all about looking good, and respectable. Dont go for something thats not flattering, or your tooooo old :)

  • I think it's more important to be appropriate for the occasion. Sexy clothes do not belong in the workplace, for example.

  • can you please make a tutorial about the styler you have in this video?:)

  • Guys, I'm pretty sure she was using the term "I'm 50" as a hypothetical term...as in when she IS 50 she's still gonna wear whatever she wants and can get away with.

  • seriously people ? she's not 50, lmfao. i mean common ^^ that's not a 50 year olds face. she meant IF she was 50.

  • @BethanyyAlyse She said "if im working out my legs? I'm 50, and i have nice legs"

she clearly said she was 50

  • @OhLawD1100 She was referring to her friends mom ...She is clearly not 50 maybe her mid 20's.

  • holy crap...she's 50?!?!!??!...i thought she was like 35 or 40....yeah I'm sry but wearing a short dress and revealing top just can't happen for you past the age of 40 I think.....

  • your 50 wow i though you were like 20 somethin.

  • My mom is 39, mother of two, and she shops at Forever21, and she looks awesome. But she dresses very fashionably and classy (but she is the kind of mom who gets botox and foils her hair, hehe, I love it). Me, I'm 17, and I actually kinda like tacky stuff. If I could steal my mom's whole eighties wardrobe I would :P I think you just have to do you, and see what you like best.

  • I feel the same way as you about fashion. I buy kids clothes too because I'm really small.
