I'm having the same problem! Only mine is dropping notes randomly too... I've reset everything, on the keyboard and on GarageBand. Problem only started when I did "Check for Updates" for my GarageBand when I got Mac Lion. It is driving me nuts... trying to record something fast... isn't working when every few notes it drops out unexpectedly (though, I guess it's not really unexpected when I know it's going to happen at some point!). Please let me know if you find a fix for this!
I'm still using OS X, and this problem just started happening to me. It's starting to be a major problem...

@soulblazerz I don't even bother with Garageband any more. I'm switching to Logic Pro soon.
