Why are we debating who should be in Brawl? IMO I think they should just add Simon(as the classic original, and most well known), Richter(cause he's awesome, and the father of the famous 'Die monster'quote), Alucard(My favorite castlevania charater), and Dracula(cause Bowser, and Ganon are both playable characters) as playable characters (since mario,The legend of zelda, and pokemon all have 4 characters in SSB)

Smash Brothers is a series that's all about nostalgia, and Simon is the epitome of nostalgia as far as Castlevania is concerned. The protagonist that started the whole thing.

I don't see why everyone dislikes Ayami Kojima's Simon so much. I feel it is the definitive Simon. It's just that it was realized later as time went by. Just like Trevor's design. No one really complains about Juste's appearance and he is Simon's grandson for goodness sake. The way the newer Simon looks would correlate well with the Belnades blood in the Belmont bloodline, as it is then more prominent in Juste.

I don't really see that as ruining Castlevania given what time period (almost 800 years before the original) the game took place and the fact that even the first Castlevania had similar monsters. Sub weapons were also in the game as well and had MANY different uses, if you play on hard your first playthrough you will be using them a lot. As for demons, they've been in the series at least since Symphony of the Night in the US, even longer than that if I'm correct.

People stopped buying video games after disasters such as ET for the Atari. However, Nintendo marketed ROB as being a toy, that only worked with the NES.

Kids were bought this "toy" along with the NES, which gave them the chance to realize that Nintendo knew how to make fun games.
