Kike was notorious in Big Cat Diary for using the camera cars as 'look-out' mounds for refuge and hunting advantages, and Nigel and Simon often remarked on how fond they were that Kike felt comfortable (and was intelligent enough) to do so.

She learned at an early age (from Amber, her mother, who also used the cars) that these guys weren't here to bother her, and so she didn't feel threatened or aggressive, hence, no attacking!

@Dattebayo04 Not really, a cheetah has a 9 times out 10 chance of failing each hunt. They probably don't attack because the car is a giant scary thing that smells funny and they have no instinct on how to deal with it. Also no interest in humans for the same reason, no instinct or teachings how. They just don't know how to hunt us. Antelope= neck, Rabbit = neck, Weird spindly legged thing that walks on two legs like no other animal= no clue.

FYI animals will hunt people if there's nothing else.

no, not cheetahs. they dont attack anything that's bigger than them because they look for the "weak", small and easy preys.

they have a great sense of smell and believe it or not, they can sense fear. usually it depends on the time of the day, if they have a belly full, they will just walk away and wont attack unless they feel threatened. and they follow sudden moves so if a man doesnt make a sudden move then they dont attack. but again, you can never trust a wild cat! :)

Adding to AFG's comment, cheetahs are very very fast, but not very strong. One of the reasons they're struggling so much is that smaller, stronger animals can very easily steal their kills, simply because cheetahs are not built for combat of any sort.

I dont know if its true, but I once heared that big cats see the whole car plus the people inside as one single big animal. Way too big even for a lion, and most parts of it not very tasty.
