  • lol id take this over the atom anyday find a way to get this idea into an actual production one if you can with the help of a company thats how the ariel atom came to be :p btw nice number plate xD

  • good jod

  • i like this car... its COOL

  • As showen , i see that you put a lot of love in the car

it seems also that your family is doing wel and that

all of you know the Lord Jesus in person , like talking

with Him Dayly , God bless you Bro and Whow the

car looks Fantastic , sound too , =)

  • is that a kit you can get

  • This is way cooler than the Atom. Awesome work.

  • Did you build this in your garage?

  • hey bro ur amazingly genius!!!! Great job!!

  • gorgeous, brother. congrats

  • You Sir are a busy man, lawns mowed, house painted, built a car and your wife is up the duff, do you ever sleep?????????

  • NICE JOB MAN. BUT U GOTTA COVER THAT WITH SHEET METAL,IT WILL BE MORE NICE

  • @daushvili20 Then it wont look like an atom

  • That muffler kills me

  • Do you think it would be possible to build a similar car, using aluminum tubing and a Prius electric/hybrid engine?Perhaps a 4 seater?

  • im building something close to an atom, i went with a t-rex design but im having trouble with the tubing making the front of the car and id like to use your design, you think u could give me the specs just from like to you sit to the front, i dont need anything any farther back

  • HELL YES!!!! maybe this is what I should do with the v8 outta that totaled truck in the barn.....

  • thats way cooler than an atom in my opinion

  • @wombatthing and way heavier, lol, but cool because self-built :)

  • If you don't mind me asking, how much do you have invested into this?

  • Since its not street legal what are you going to do with it

  • @whitepride7535 he plans to put a mower rack underneath the frame so he can mow the big ass lawn in style!

  • how many hours and what kind of frame you use

  • NICE!!!!

  • Thats pretty cool. Just hate to watch you go over a speed bump with how low that thing is

  • GOOD JOB DUDE !!!

  • you must have a bad ass shop...

  • very cool project. it looks super low. is it pretty close to c5 height or is it really as low as it looks ?

  • only in America.

  • The only questions i have is why dont you have any kind of kick panels in the front to protect your feet and why did you mount the exhaust so high?

  • looks ilke the weight balance is all in the rear

  • Your making a sportscar with a automatic transmission? You're kidding me? Only in America.

  • @Janmodaal1

The power train was pulled straight from a not exactly sporty car, more or less a case of gotta work with what you got. The fact that he even did it at all is impressive.

  • i'm trying to build one, thats how i found this video... LOL

  • How did you make the chase for it do you have so blue prints of it

  • I'm so inspired by you

  • you are my hero

  • its not pretty, but fantastic effort mate. With 320 hp, I'm guessing it struggles for grip somewhat??

  • Props to you for building it up yourself mate =]

  • sweet dude! what did you have to do to get this car registered street legal?

  • I just saw this like 2 weeks ago in Copper Basin in San Tan Valley, AZ, sitting at the YMCA... Such an amazing machine, well done my friend.

  • i want to do something like this when i get the money but only smaller and maybe with a street bike motor from a liter bike.

  • too bad its auto

  • that is aswesome! i wish i had the money to build one. how much do you have invested in it

  • dont drive in the rain. sweet car though thumbs up i hope to do something like this when im older

  • Amazing!

  • Hey my name is Jack Nicholson i dont know if u heard of me but i have been looking for a car of this style for a long time now and i was wondering if u would sell it for, lets say $105,000. Email me back and let me know if u would sell ;-)

  • You should make some side and top intake inlets :)

  • But does it have an ipod dock? it would be better than an atom then xD

  • Way cooler than the atom. Nice work.how much did that cost altogether

  • thats supper cool it look like you bought it very good build

  • Lights, turn signals, windshield or helmet, taillights is what you need to make it street legal. In CA, chp will probably not let you I don't know about other states. It should be easier to make it street legal out of CA because they make the most stupid laws

  • THTS NICE

  • 2000lbs? is it all steel?

  • some fins, and panels would finish it off great! Amazing job!

  • What kind of transmission?

  • Ótimo trabalho!!

  • coool thats awsome but is it street leagal ? and how do u make a car u built street legal

  • @macwizful It's in US,it must be street legal. Home Made cars in some states are only required to have basic equipment such as brakes, windshield & washers, lights, etc.

Unlike the Dirty European B*tches which will only approve ball-like vehicles and will even want to check if your butt smells good in order to make it road legal,or in the best case you will get stupid plates like the UK's Q-Plates and have a car branded with Plates like you used it to kill people and do robberies with.

  • Nice

  • are you a engine tec or something because if i tried building that i wouldn't know where to start

  • Nice work! Also you do make the registration i've seen the plates! Here in Italy we cant make cars like that! The government dont let you drive it on the streets! :(

  • Looks great but it is also twice the weight of a Ariel Atom (1050lbs) How come?

  • Can you help me build one?

  • what size of tubing did you use for the body?

  • I think they make a twin turbo kit for that engine, if I'm not mistaken.

So, in case you want to really go..

  • Nice Great JOB!

I got a question..How did you put the engine in the back and flip the transmission around for it to be in the correct position? Like how does that work out?

  • its easy to build a car like that with cash... try that with scrapyard parts :S

  • Have you seen the atom?

  • I love it mate! do you have an plans ect. of it?

  • haha you just made this video, so your wife's video looks like crap.

  • This is beautiful! It's a dream to build a car like this myself! Me (18) and my dad are addicted to cars, i think i'm gonna show him this video :D

  • the rims looks like it came from a corvette and the engine too sweet job

  • What kinda piping were you using? please reply back looking to build my own car, and wered you take it to get street registered?

  • Amazing!

  • would that be legal to drive on roads and interstates?

  • Did you use a donor car for this? If not, then I'm asking myself why most replica's are based on a donor car when you can make the chassis yourself...

  • great build, and very simple, all gm stuff! how come there arent any sway bars? it also looks like you didnt have a tubing bender, very excellently executed!

  • A lot of work and a good job.

    BP

  • Well Monte Carlo SS motors didn't come in a 5 or 6 speed, so that's where he fucked up in the first place. I probably just would of used some sort of turbo 4 or 6 cylinder motor. Could've saved a 100 lb's or so too.

  • @suzuki400boi YOUR EITHER A LEGIMATE EXPERT OR JUST JELOUS OF THIS GUY ????

  • TUne that engine.. ... and if it has a 4l60e a stall convertor.. also a camshaft kit!

  • This is absolutely amazing !!

  • u dont answer questions i see.

  • i bet he has a MASSIVE beard

  • I'd like to see some of the math you did to build that lol

  • damn that's tight!!! but why auto....?

  • hi friend, excellent work my congratulations, tell me how sorry you

did to convert the engine to the rear wheels with no need to push the

PTO, is a question I have very strong, please I'd appreciate it much

  • nice ride man. very clean

  • amart guys with money and hardwork can make miracles

  • is... you and "LizKoelker" the same?

  • looks great but, i wonder if the front end pushes in curves?

  • NICE JOB DUDE..

    IT LOOKS GREAT....

  • Neat, neat car!! I'd like to build something similar but with TWO Monte Carlo engines---one front and one rear...650 hp go cart!

  • It´s an engine compartment with seats in it :)

  • I like them wheels on that, anyway from an angle from the back it looks like a CRX haha man that'll be fun going down the side street at 100MPH and see the look of a cop. ive already did that on my 300cc go kart going 55

  • I have a few questions. When you get a chance. Email me Twion300zx@yahoo.com. thanks.

  • That's incredible man, well done!

  • A nice funmobile I'm sure. Congrats!

Don't really see the resemblance to an Atom, though.. (2 liter manual transmission actual fastness, not just an automatic V8 straightliner?).

  • that's one powerful go-kart :P

  • put some bars in back of the seats! for safety! to protect you from the engine in case of accident

  • put some bars in back of the seats! for safety

  • Looks good!! very nice build!!

  • Very cool toy ! Are you going to skin the car? If it was my car I'd use removal aluminum panels with aviation locks & maybe a windscreen ? Must be really fun to drive half the wieght of the vette! Killer gocart !

  • Looks great, good call on the C5 front end. Suspension front and back looks beautiful. I would definitely not paint this thing, it just looks too sweet. I might look in to a better match then the C5 wheels, the look a little out of place. And maybe a slightly less aggressive looking exhaust. Very clean and simple, I love it, great frame work!

  • how much was the total cost?

  • awsome have you tried using hho fuel it`s really clean.

  • @blacktomohawk That's just a bunch of cranky pseudoscience - no one has demonstrated it to work...

  • Change rims!! :D

  • sometimes automatic has a better shift timing then people do depending on how you tune it

  • Good job, but CHANGE IT TO MANUAL!!

    Automatic suck's for race

  • Well I am impressed!! Beautiful work and well done. Its great to see that people are still building these types of project cars. I have seen your other video where you test drove it for the first time. Congrats!!! GOD JOB!

  • that thing is cool.. did u use front end off monte on the rear or something i see u kept the cv axles on???? this is really bad ass

  • looks way more aggressive than the girly Atom... who´s with me?

  • dude that shit is sick broo.. like how much did u spend on this??

  • "Can't afford one so I built one" Life motto of a true car enthusiast

  • how much did this all cost you? not including the motor, but i know it is finished now. besides the motor, how much was all the metal that was involved in it?

  • How hard to you think its gonna be to make it street legal ?

  • wheres you son , that little dude is funny

  • That's pretty impressive.. I would like to see what your day job is.

  • I'm wanting to build myself a car. But I don't know how to do the shocks and where the wheel goes. (yes, I don't know the name to that triangular part that the wheels attach to) You think you can tell me how to do that part? Or at least give me some tips? Thanks

  • wait so ur not gonna fricken drive it?

  • tienes los planos

  • love it all i have rigfht now is the motor i have been looking for plans and parts list do you jknow were i could get them need any help you could give me thank you very much joseph email at joeyb1960@live.com or joeyb1960@cox.net

  • 2086 bls as-is? my MR2 spyder weight about 2196 lbs with almost the same power 308hp.

what kind of tranny did you use (from MTC SS)? 5, 6 spd or auto?

  • Saw your other vid. You're a lucky man to have a wife who was that excited for you!!!! Win.

  • with all those power.......have it in manual tranny.....you already have a 20% loss because its in automatic...but if you prefer cruisin than bruisin....i guess you are alright....i was wishin that you could already have atom a run for its money.

  • how much did it cost you

  • Whats your cost for do-it your-self car so far? Nice set-up !

  • get rid of the V8 and put a jap engine in it, ....with a manual gear box! Then shorten (and thereby lighten the car) the engine bay. Tune the engine, supercharger/ turbo etc and your done! It'll be faster and a whole lot more fun :)

  • why is it that heavy, make it out of carbon fiber not depleted uranium

  • did you put that frame togethet by wenldein??

  • how much as the car cost u to build and would u do another to sell

  • fugly

  • to bad :( 5.3 litrs and ONLY 325 horses in europe you get an 2.5 litre 5cil with 340 horses. but dont get me wrong i like the concept!

  • amazing its great

  • whattttttttttt?????? such a nice job and you made it automatic???? come on are you a pussy that cant drive stick? please dude change that gearbox you must be jocking for sure

  • nice car, looks good

  • All that effort and then you go and put an auto box on it!?

  • @R1doorbar i feel bad for all those americans who just dont know how to drive with a manual transmission...

  • @R1doorbar guys, relax, hes got a shit ton of money and a shit ton of free time. He can build another one with manual.

  • nooo, nice car man,but you screwed up with the automatic trasmission

  • wait! automatic?

  • The Ariel Atom has 900 hp per ton and weighs in at 1200 lbs.

I wonder how or what they use to construct it that makes it over 800 lbs lighter than your nice piece of engineering.

    Very well done!!!!!

  • @1971mgb Carbon fiber much? Also the Ariel Atom has a 3l engine with sequential shift gearbox, both of which are bound to be lighter than the 5.3l with an auto. Though taking 800lbs off something which is already quite bare-bone is something.

  • @1971mgb Well for starters, the Atom has a 2.0 Liter Inline-4, and this car has a 5.3 V8, so there's at least a few hundred pounds difference. And I'm sure they have far more advanced engineering put into their design (and not to mention more expensive and lighter materials) than this guy has.

But for something built out of his garage, this is a great design.

  • @master777999

The Atom I was thinking of is the V8 model. While the engine and trans is lighter it is not 8 hundred pounds lighter.

Wonderful build. I wonder what he could do with access to high tech materials?

  • @1971mgb Well yeah it's definitely not eight hundred pounds lighter, but it's a large chunk of the weight. The atom is engineered to save weight as much as possible in every place on the car, which accounts for the rest of the weight difference.

With access to high tech stuff, This guy could probably build an Atom haha

  • @master777999

I figure he must be a fab guy for a nascar team.

  • All that and it's an automatic trans... >__<

    Nice job though.

  • gr8 jobb man this is my dream , to build one aswell . just wondering how much it cost.???

  • congratulations man i wish i had half ur talent

  • nice work man

  • whos got a lot of time, and a lot of money...? you got!!! :D nice job... How safe it is?

  • streetlegal? very nice man

  • wow - wish I had the skills

    great job

  • wow - wish I had the skills

    great job

  • good job bro nice car

  • So is that think street legal? If not, what else does it need?

  • how much would you need to invest to do somthing like this?

  • very nice job.. good engineering..

  • Looks nice man. Well done. All you need now is to add a body shell and make it weather proof and it'll be awesome.

  • Do you have a degree in engineering? Geez. Intense for a homebuilt project.

  • Would have liked it better if it was manual shift, having said that you rock. This is incredible.

  • Fantastic job and great finish aswell......awesome!!!!!

  • So Did meyou get the plans

  • This is a seriously awesome project! But I have to ask why auto? And why not a lighter higher revving engine like a K20Z3 or a 1JZ?

  • automatic. fail

  • Man thats beautiful.Enjoy driving it.

  • looks awsome nice job
