I love Sandy Welch's fidelity to the book, and Richard's and Sinead's performances of course. But I think the reason everyone loves the person/role is because it's one of the few in 19th c. lit where the guy pursues the girl. PS. Also loved that rack on the grapes as Mrs. Hale's VO unconsciously reminds Margaret of what kind of person she's rejected.
This was so heartbreaking - yes, you can hear the pain in his voice - Margaret is crazy - he is beautiful - such a man of good morals and character - the book is wonderful, too.
Sinead Cusack and Richard Armitage deliver such amazing performances. I really love watching them.
