Although the law covers all agencies, the measure targets people who repeatedly request a copy of Obama's Hawai'i birth certificate.

If you don't come from Hawaii, then your birth certificate is irrelevant. Birth certificates vary from State to State as far as appearance, and what info is included and not included on it.
The Hawaii COLB is a valid, legal, State certified birth certificate. No its not weird at all.
As of 2001, they only issue COLB's as certified birth certificates in Hawaii.

He was never an Indonesian citizen. Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship. In order to become an Indonesian citizen, he would've first had to have renounced US citizenship, which he could not do as a child, nor could his parents do for him. Section 349(a)(5) of the INA explains this quite clearly. He never held Indonesian citizenship.

That is not a long form birth certificate. It is simply a photo copy of one, on plain white paper. There is no way to tie to the receipt that was shown with it, so no way to verify when it was issued.

You can't be president or vice president unless you're a natural born citizen, not just a citizen. Having said that, there are two big problems with your comment: number 1, was this law when Obama was born? I don't know, it doesn't matter anyway because number 2, this DOES NOT define natural born citizens so your comment about being eligible to be president or vice president is absolutely incorrect.

B. We don't really care about the birth certificate. Obama was a British citizen at birth because Obama Sr. was Kenyan which was under British rule at the time of his birth. Therefore he was dual citizen which precludes him from being eligible to hold the office. It takes two US citizens to create a "natural born citizen" a requirement for the Presidency.

I dont remember the year they stopped ('01 or '02?) but Hawaii no longer issues "long form".
They aren't lying. If you're from Hawaii and you apply for a copy of your birth certificate, that is what they give you.

Also, take another look at that newspaper announcement. It only gives the mom and dad's names, their address, the gender of the baby and the birth date. Does it say WHERE the birth took place? The new law, Act 100, allows state agencies a limited exemption from Freedom of Information requirements when duplicative requests for information are made by the same person. Although the law covers all agencies, the measure targets people who repeatedly request a copy of Obama's Hawai'i birth certificate.
That's still an unwelcome precedent, but according to state employees the requests were just out of control.

If you don't come from Hawaii, then your birth certificate is irrelevant. Birth certificates vary from State to State as far as appearance, and what info is included and not included on it.
The Hawaii COLB is a valid, legal, State certified birth certificate. No its not weird at all.
As of 2001, they only issue COLB's as certified birth certificates in Hawaii.

Obama never legally changed his name to Soetoro, which is why he never had to "change it back".
He was never an Indonesian citizen. Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship. In order to become an Indonesian citizen, he would've first had to have renounced US citizenship, which he could not do as a child, nor could his parents do for him. Section 349(a)(5) of the INA explains this quite clearly. He never held Indonesian citizenship.

That is not a long form birth certificate. It is simply a photo copy of one, on plain white paper. There is no way to tie to the receipt that was shown with it, so no way to verify when it was issued.
There is no mark of certification (stamp / signature / 3d raised Seal) by the State of Hawaii.

The Congress did hold formal hearings on that, They determined that in fact he IS a citizen because both his parents are US citizens even though he was born outside the continental US at the US base in Panama. apply those conditions to obarry and see how he measures up.
