Try it yourself. Eat Spicy Curry, and tilt the control stick the slightest. What do you get? Automatic running. Not, a speedup, just automatic running. WHAT THIS MEANS IS, that you cannot walk with the curry. You can only run.

...Do you even know what "automatic running" means? If you stand still, you run automatically.
It speeds you up from walking to running. Spicy Currey doesn't make you run automatically.
