@sinexia16 The only aspect that I do like about the South is the accent in story telling or in point of view which adds a richness and commands attention to what is being expressed or told. Hollywood and America has always found this compelling and effective, even though it was not meant to be the case in this story. I only hope that Crystal is now in untouchable Peace. This is a very sad story of betrayal and sadism. I couldn't even tell that Register would have been the killer just as Crystal.

@rahla53 It may have been because it sounded more "matter of factly" than serious as this true account is. I like this program, but I have to agree, that in other episodes, the "narration" is too casual as if it the victim is going to resurrect & move forward. The problem w/ many of these programs is that they become too familiar w/ the subject of murder & its aftermath. That is why the audience,at times, waxes cold due to the frequency of this type of crime& it should be handled with care.

Im sorry to hear what happen to her but if it is true that she threatened to lie about being raped then she was wrong for that. I still think its doesnt giver him the right to kill her obviously. the reason behind all of this was because Crystal told the killer (after they hooked up without protection) that she would report him for rape if he got her pregnant. So he got mad and stabbed her.

@diamond40631 And see, I did not find Register to be "mentally ill". The Mentally ill does NOT explode into a rein of violence as he had. Register is a psychopath, as mentioned above & there is a marked difference between "mental illness" & a "personality deficit". The deficit is much more dangerous b/c the mind of this type is calculating, like a tiger shark, & the abnormality is in the addiction of killing. The PD is able to function & to interact normally on the surface within society's acceptance and that is what makes Register a extreme danger to society. Look at him. When Ken called back 2:56 I thought that is the first suspect. Don't know why. Just had a feeling if it was someone she new, they might go out of there way to show they were very concerned and offer help to keep anyone from even considering them as a suspect. As soon as I heard he was calling hospitals and reporting back to the victims mother, a red flag went up in my mind that this was someone the police should take a look at.

What is wrong with people? All you got out of this video was their "accents." Crystal was a sweet young lady and she was her mom's whole life. I went to school with both her and Ken. What Ken did to her was nothing short of something out of a horror movie. When details came out about this it gave everyone around here nightmares. It was terrible, no one deserves to die like she did.

It is actually a very clever & a very personal way to refresh the story's repeat coverage. Crystal's story is told by countless newsmagazines over and over. This story was featured in "American Justice", "The System" (before it became "The Investigators" on Court TV (now named Tru TV) & in two other investigative programs. It is a disturbing account.

@bgrubbs1 I cannot understand WHY Register found her to be nothing more to him than a victim. The photos of them in lighter days are disarming & who could tell that this would unravel in this manner. Here is the alarming prophecy, it is said by criminal psychologists that a serial killer's first kill is often someone that the killer knows intimately. Just as Dahmer and so many. A serial killer often starts in his own area& spreads out into the wasteland. Register was definately getting started.
