I have only ever known this song from Nat King Cole..another musical genius. I object to the word corny. It is an opinion but if that is the case than everything ever written in this category must be rejected. However millions of people fell for it and seem still to do. For me Johnny is so unique that there are no words for his natural talent. Like Cole, Johnny makes me feel like no one else can, certainly no one in the last 30 years. I wish people and love were really like the songs he sings.
David jacobs plays this sort of beautiful music every Sunday evening at 11.00pm on Radio 2. Do yourself a favour. This Sunday, jump into bed, switch on the radio, turn off the light and fly away until mid-night in a "shower of a handful of stars." A very good night to you all.
Thank you for sharing and a Million thanks to a Romantic Texan from Houston who will be getting a glorious shipment of glistening STARS and GLOWING MOONBEAMS to light up his night! :-)

For those who admire composers, this was composed by Ted Shapiro who also wrote 'If I Had You'. Both of these ought to be bette-known.

This is beautiful, but if you might want to check out Nat "King" Cole's version, especially if you think the song is corny.
Nelson Riddle's arrangement and Cole's perfect interpretation of the lyric might show you why Johnny wanted to cover it.

Wow!! This is a great song, I don't think it's corny myself but it is an unusual song for Johnny to record,. I'll put it in my favorites
