  • El que filma es un boludo!

  • mix me a martini, call the hookers, grab me a piece of pizza out of the oven. God I cant wait for the future. :)

  • mix me a martini, call the hookers, grab me a piece of pizza out of the over. God I cant wait for the future. :)

  • Just wait till someone writes a virus for this thing and it suffocates you for no reason while you're sleeping ;).

  • This is kind of scary to me. I mean, it's cool, but I wouldn't want one.

  • Technophobia can kill you

  • Right now, everyone is like "I WANT ONE, I WANt ONE", But I wonder how long it will take you to get so use ti him, you start taking him for granted.

  • Ohh Asimo is so cute I'm buying one once they come out he is such a great helper you rock Asimo! I need an Asimo to help me with my house chores and plus I'm an only child I need a brother or sister.

  • If it was possible to buy one now, they would cost about £2,000,000.

  • Yeah he is very expensive, but well if anybody buys one he will sure be worth it, I mean he is almost like a mechanical human.

  • Sorry, I meant dollars. On a UK keyboard $ is right next to £. Yeah, each Asimo (there are only 100 in existence, all owned by Honda) costs $2,000,000 to make each. A lot. However, I believe Honda rent them to companies like disney for about $180,000 per month or week, can't remember. Disney world have an Asimo, and they show it off now and then. But it is only rented from Honda.

  • no I KNOW he costs a million Or less TO BUY (not make)

  • That is not true. I don't know where you got that from. For a start, Honda are not selling Asimo to ANYBODY. And even if they were, why would they sell them for less than a mill? They would be losing $1,000,000 for every one they sold! They would go bust within weeks!

  • i could be wrong about asimo but i know companies who lose money on every thing they build like sony did with the ps3 its costed 600 dollar to buy in stores but sony spends 800 to build them see?

  • Can't be true, or, as I said, Sony would no longer exist.

  • lol U honestly believe that all companies make money of their consoles? like i said in the beginning sony lost 200usd per cosole sold it actually quite common for something like this to happen then their money comes from the games they sell so its ok (btw they only recently started making money of their console)

  • Ok, that may be true, but each PS3 did definitely not cost $700, or however much it was you said, to make. Most $500 laptops only cost $60-$80 each to manufacture, sometimes less, would not be much more for the PS3. Development would have cost millions (especially inventing the new cell processor) but manufacture after that would not cost very much at all.

  • i know ps3's costed around as much as i said to make but you see my point? companies don't nessecarily make money of the console/or whatever they sell

  • i wonder how much asimo could lift

  • I believe each of it's fingers can support up to half a pound.

  • @ultimate007royale Twice his weight, and even more. He is pretty strong for a 119 LBS, and 1.3 m measurement robot.

  • and if it ever retaliates just kick it over =P

  • hum,this is the old ver O_o

  • our future slaves!!! amazing

  • I am sure that when Honda launched Asimo, it was purely because of their success in having it autonomously stand, walk, run, and negotiate stairs. No more and no less. This is similar to the Segway trolley. Making these units independently balance itself was indeed a great achievement.

  • As far as I am concerned, it ain't a humanoid robot nor an android. In fact it ain't even a robot yet (though my statement needs to be qualified). What we have here is only a remote controlled gadget. Its' only advancement in robotics is being able to balance itself while it stands, walk, run, and climb stairs. By the way, it cannot converse yet - there's a platoon of technicians and engineers somewhere remotely operating ASIMO.

  • Why didn't they ask Brent Spiner to 'introduce' him into 'his' family!? I mean, THE humanoid 'robot' to date, is (his) Data the android, so, who better to demonstrate this amazing 'Hondabot' as I call it, Asimo? That's a bit of a letdown in their publicity PR there... but then again, this is a daily show, & would be a bit too much, even for an android I guess, I've seen it... But at least once?
