I can't lie back in the day I hated these dudes, fierce rivalry is an understatement (my background being St. Aug/Fortier) , but today as I sit with my son schooling him on what it was like in my day, I find myself missing Da' K and others from the 80's - 90's era. Funny thing is some of those Canal Street battles after school and Carnival parade challenges have turned into friendships. As Louis Armstrong once said...
