I'm so glad to see a live posting of this number by the incomparable Dawn Upshaw. I have the recording "I Wish It So" - she signed the CD booklet for me. Dawn is at home in just about any kind of music she wishes to sing. To me, the best singer of the 2nd half of the 20th Century. And she's still working - and that includes singing - after surviving breast cancer. What a singer! What a woman! Brava diva Dawn!

Lovely to find this live performance here. I have Dawn Upshaw's "I Wish It So" CD, which includes this song. She's certainly a captivating and expressive singer, at home with the musical theater as well as the classical repertoire.

Cant beleive that this is German composer... it as so many emotions and gentleness. Kurt Wajl is so different from Hindemit and all German late romantic, expresionist(atonal,serial), neoclassical composers,...

World". INCREDIBLE! Dawn is one of the best

vocalists of the last 50 years.

rated highest 11+ the sun shines a dawn, she is fabulous great voice great arrangement. i i will to this song once in a WEIL. very punny, but this great dawn is great. never knew she was on youtube. looking for more of her performances but i may be a man in the dark ROGHARM
