I personally find the idea that a woman only abuses a man who deserves it to be complete bullshit. My dad never did anything to deserve what my mom did to him. She was just a violent woman.
And men have a number of reasons to stay in an abusive relationship, perhaps the strongest of which is if he has had children with that woman; he feels that he has a duty to protect his children from their mother.

When growing up, there was a lady in our neighborhood who would frequently whip her husband with a waterhose or a belt...whichever she could get hold of first. He would run off hollering for help and eventually, she'd put down the belt or hose and go back inside. It's pretty sad how the courts and the government favors women in situations like these. This isn't equality at all. As someone said before the guy probably isn't fighting back because the woman can just say he was attacking her and the whole world will believe her. One of my sons was in a situation like that, and he did everything he could to avoid this female... he even reported her to the staff at school and they did nothing. When this female became scratch happy, I told him to DEFEND himself. There is a big difference between ABUSE and SELF DEFENSE!
