This is Clapton' song no doubt, or I should say it really belongs to the B.B. Kings and a long list of black blues guitarists who came before from the American South. Apart from that beautiful sounding Gibson guitar through those ballsy Marshall amps the licks are virtually identical going all the way back to Robert Johnson! Even back in the 60s the packaging mattered, a young English long haired dude looked a whole lot sexier than some old black guy standing up there...hey it still sounds good
