the incredible thing about PJ Harvey is that you can listen to her for years, own every album, and then you go on youtube one day and discover a gem like this you've never heard before. she has so many good songs, she buries incredible music like this on b-sides and demos you can spend your whole life tracking down.

i don't know why it wasn't included on the album. pj's b-sides are almost always better than anything that's actually included. i think she probably just overthinks things too much.
