One comment, I am from Norway. I do not think any Norwegian would want to travel to the US at this time. 100 years ago, yes, but not now. Same applies to most of northern Europe.
@endocry Actually, I am from Northern Norway, we where liberated by the communist Soviets during WW2, and even aided by them after the war. We had specific trade agreements with the Soviets after the war, due to much of that, and obviously because we are neighbours.
However, much of the other western European regions where helped by the US, but some would say that was to get military fotholds into the region. Personally, I have no problem with the aid Europe got.

@endocry Actually, I am from Northern Norway, we where liberated by the communist Soviets during WW2, and even aided by them after the war. We had specific trade agreements with the Soviets after the war, due to much of that, and obviously because we are neighbours.
However, much of the other western European regions where helped by the US, but some would say that was to get military fotholds into the region. Personally, I have no problem with the aid Europe got.

Half a century ago you had high taxes on the rich, and was the most developed, stabile economy in the world, no questions asked. Now, you have one of medium tax rates, spend the most on agressive military and have no healthcare or education supplied by that tax money, and you face depression. It must be dealt with.

I support freedom of speech even for odiuse groups like WBC. But by they have alienated everybody, left right and center, so nobody is left to stick up for them. Protesting is a right, but protesting at funerals is odiuse. Keeping them some distance from funerals is an aceptable compramise.
