@MrJoefriend I just tried to figure out the chord progression myself, I don't have it quite right, I don't have all of Bruce's passing chords and such, but it seems to be: verse: Dm Dm/E F, F Am G, G/E F Am G F(?) C Dm Chorus: Dm, F G, F G, C Dm. That's rough, and not near right, but it's a starting point

Wow, just watched this amazing movie, very sad but also hilarious and extremely meaningful in its entirety, the director is a genius as well as Robin Williams who fantastically portrayed his role, but this scene, it will always stay within me, Bruce Hornsby's beautiful melancholic song is more than words can explain.

I found a very similar version to this by Ricky Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby on an album called "Playlist:the very best of Bruce Horsby". It got extra bluegrass banjo on as well and it's excellent.

@Deetmonster I'll have to go buy this. I was very amazed by it and very amazed by the music singing the facts of what we go through. I kept putting it off renting this movie and then finally.. I watched, cried, laughed and seen how 2 faced people can be. I remmeber my first funeral of a little 4 year old when I was only 9 and I'll never forget it; my brother at 28; killed or suicide. No one knows. Sad, true.

Yeah, I just listened to the original and I like this one WAY more. He sings it with more soul, and the piano sounds beautiful with it, and it has a much sadder tone which is appropriate to the lyrics and the scene in the movie.
