I thought Aldebaran was... quite YELLOW, if you know what I mean. As for Betelgeuse, I'm not that sure the "girls" (if you can even call them that) would do anything you ask them to. Rather, I would bet they would do anything THEY wanted with you (or your bloated corpse, of course).
I read the book a while back and thought your "cover" of the song was great but just now when I was working on a paper and listening to the book on CD it came up again so I had to come back here and give another listen!
I have read some Pratchett, though none of the Discworld books so far. The reason being, mostly, that there are so bloody MANY of them, and I'm not sure I want to get started on something that huge! ;-) Nevertheless, it's been recommended enough that I think I'll have to read them in any case. Thanks for the suggestion. :D
If you don't want to get into the huge sagas, like those of the witches or the watch, there are some pretty good stand alones, like Pyramids, Small Gods, Moving Pictures, Thief of Time, The Hoghfather -even though this last two are technically part of the Death series, they are pretty much stand alones-, Monstrous Regiment, The Truth, and Soul Music... probably this last one's the one you should read, if only because of the subject of the power of music.
You are an awesome dude and a hoopy frood. I always wondered what this song would sound like and this is perfect. This and Hey There Chthulhu are my current favorite songs on youtube. I get funny looks when I sing the later song though. keep putting out the good shit and you got another fan.
I loved it! I've been searching for months to find someone who actually performed this song- and defiantly not disappointed. I'll look into more of your stuff.
...My friends a throwing a halloween party where we plan to be playing a steampunk'd rendition of D&D, and they asked me if I could play a couple of your songs for the party xD...

Teleportation can also cause nausea, constant disorientation and the feeling that you was pulled thru a black hole inside a white hole....

Good Show! I don't know how many times I have read the books (probably not enough). Adams would be proud.

Odd comment, but have you read Terry Pratchett? I'd recommended the discworld books for any fan of Douglas Adams.
ho know? Maybe it'll give you an idea for a new filk.

I'd say you should start with either The Color of Magic, Mort, or Small Gods.

I was wondering- whats with your audiences? they seem pretty tough
BrakBoy 3 years ago
They're not, really. It's that sometimes they're small, so there's not a lot of people to applaud.

Where did Adams write this? I don't remember it.

It's somewhere in Live, the Universe, and Everything. I'd have to dig through it to find exactly where.

I would not at all! Be my guest! (Just be sure to credit me *and* Douglas Adams.)

...You rock xD...I feel slightly less awful now when I roll my percentile dice when my players make the mistake of walking through a portal.

Hah! Thanks. This made me laugh. :D (I was in a long-running game that had portals like that...)

Whenever a print job gets lost traveling less than 100 yards, I sigh and say "This is why we don't have nice teleporters."
But I think this song says it so much more eloquently.
