  • Lol this is kind of a scary song to me a little perve

  • this song was #1 when i was born. boss.

  • This is the troggs, its just a remake of their original song. It's one of my favorite songs of all time. I never get tired of it. My step-dad, who has now passed on, used to tease me about liking the troggs so much but its like I don't grow tired of their songs as much as other bands. I don't really no why.

  • this is NOT the Troggs, sounds nothing like them

  • I learned this today and played it for my wife. She said "What the hell is this? Sounds like bubble gum." I laughed so hard because she "got it"

  • Billy Mack for the win.

  • I feel it in my fingers, I fee it in my toes,

Christmas is all around me, and so the feeling grows,

It's written on the wind, it's everywhere I go,

So if you really love Christmas, come on and let it snow.....

  • @TheNatFM jaja from the great billy mack!!!

  • * * * * *

  • Bill :D

  • Remember me to the beatles :S lol

  • Ahh I want to go country cruisen baby

  • And still listening to this song on 2011. Real music never dies.

  • Like a time machine, this song takes me back to Albuquerque, and falling madly in love with this truly amazing, and very hot, army guy. What was amazing, he kind of liked me, too..oh those were definitely the days..

  • I f in Love this song....

  • the vocals sound like the guy from sleepy jackson :/

  • type of tune you would want to listen to while watching a load of guys fighting in a death match

  • A truly great band from the 60's that are still performing. From the days talent was natural and not manufactured by some greedy little X factor promoter and a bunch of studio gimmicks.

  • @DumblyBrilliant

Absolutely and there is a glimmer of recognition of this by younger people. I am impressed by the number of comments from teens and preteens that this is talent, artistry, not what is being shilled today.

  • @joesphx19 This sounds like a rerecorded version not the original hit

  • @spacepatrolman You may be right. This sounds slightly different than the song played on the radio. While this is an excellent version, I prefer the one played on the radio

  • @joesphx19 Yeah. I am seeing that too. It's great news. If ever the time to start a backlash against the Simon Cowel's of this world was right, that time is now.

  • I agree with parkman35, this is the best version!

  • I've never heard of this version before. I found it a bit weird.

Wet Wet Wet's version is way better.

  • Lmao! Really that's fuckin funny! (I prefer the original version) ha ha what an idiot!

  • I like this better than the wet wet wet version. This one is more playful and light hearted. much better suited to the lyrics than an overlyromantic (lonesome) type. Not all romantic songs have to be overly feely -willy singing in the basement types.

  • Why do kids always put their age when they say that they like a tune on youtube? Who cares how old everyone is. As if old music needs a ten yr old to like it in order for it to be a good song.

  • I LOVE THIS SONGGGG

i played it @ my grd 7 farewell nd every1 lurved it :)

    (and yes, im 13!)

  • For you John Potts. ;-)

    Alan

  • Not the original nor a very good version.

Check out the original, a lost classic!

  • @fntime "Love Is All Around" is a song composed by Reg Presley and performed by The Troggs. Purportedly inspired by a television transmission of the Joy Strings Salvation Army band, the song was first released as a single in the UK in October 1967, peaking at No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart in late November 1967 and No. 7 on the Hot 100 chart in the US on 18 May 1968. This version features a string quartet and a 'tick tock' sound on percussion.

  • @MegaProvo Thanks for the info, but I still prefer the 'orginal' version.

    This a really great song!!!!

  • @fntime this is the Original, you lunatic.

  • @MegaProvo This is NOT the original, and I'm not even sure

    it's the Troggs!

By the way, I am a lunatic, but a lunatic who hears 'tones'.

If you think this is the original, then suggestion, raise the volume

    on your hearing aid!

  • @fntime Ok if it is not the orginal, Please tell me what the original is???????????

  • @MegaProvo Hi Mega, I'm not computer literate,

so I'm sending you the original to your mailbox!

I think you are going to love the original.

  • @fntime Hi buddy, I do love the original, but i think we were getting mixed up with the word "original", i just meant they were the first and original artists that recorded the song, You however gave me the original recording from the same guys which i happened to love, I hope we cleared all that up, happy new year ;)

  • @MegaProvo Happy New Year to you!

    Mission Accomplished.(lol)

If you look at my Channel, look at my playlists

I have about 120, yearly music, types of music,

my favorites etc Hope you enjoy!!!

  • @MegaProvo an acronym for "Total Unduplicated Reach and Frequency", is a type of statistical analysis used for providing estimates of media or market potential and devising optimal communication and placement strategies given limited resources.

Although originally used by media schedulers to maximize reach and frequency of media spending across different items (print, broadcast, etc.), T.U.R.F. is now used to determine what drivers motivate consumers to purchase a certain product.

  • @MegaProvo - Cool info! And God bless the Sally Ann for inspiring Reg to put together this beautiful tune.

  • they wrote this after seeing a Salvation Army person on the tv...the phrase that caught his attention was when the guy said.."love is all around"...he sat down and wrote this song...

  • it needs more cowbell!

  • Christmas is all around me. So C'mon let it snow

  • personal opinion - i like wet wet wet better.. but this version is still awesome

  • The original version is this: Utube: /Gdcd114MM1Y

  • What version is this? Is this the Troggs at all?

  • One of my favorite love songs of all times. Thanks.

  • i remember sitting in my car with my girlfriend,,playing this song,by the lake

  • This is my favourite version. I do like REM's version as well but hate Wet Wet Wet's overblown version although it was popular as it stayed at No 1 in the UK for 15 weeks. Every week I hoped another record had knocked it off No 1!

  • P.S. What the F is up with all of the dislikes.....sadness...these people obviously don't know what good music is:( I would hate to be in their shoes.

  • Oh my Lord!! I just discovered yet another amazingly beautiful song from the 1960's era! Thank You Universe! I Love it to pieces!! God Am I lucky to have educated myself to discover what real music really is.. It's all about the 1960's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So FN Grooovy... <3 Yes. this song is gorgeous.

  • I really like this song!!gorgeous~!

  • I really like this song!!gorgeous~!

  • fab

  • I know this is one of DJ Dick Bartley's favorites ... mine too ... one of those that stays with you ... thanks MikeQUAYD.

  • Is it just me or does he sound kinda like Bruce from Family Guy?

  • @Musicvideodaily hahahahahaha

  • Excuses to all the users of Youtube, but you know sometimes you have to react. in my message i have just expressed my taste and i think just you can't attack someone on that (you will remark tahat i didn't say that i hate this song or anything like that). Now I won't bother you anymore but i can tell you that now I will never express myself anymore on that sort of sites too !

    Now, watch and enjoy. Bye.

PS: Excuse me too for my poor english and my possible mistakes.

  • Takes me back to high school; a thousand years ago.

  • Meant to say the beat in the beginning reminds me of " You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling", not " Soul and Inspiration".

  • Growing up in the 80's my parents would play hours of 50's and 60's records. This was just one of many songs played. Kinda has a similar beat to "Soul and Inspiration" at times.

  • In most men's minds this song is subtle and close; I think. If not, then it is only in my mind and that means it is a great song for thinking about my teenage sweethearts.

  • Man...this was one of their greats...The 60's were great years in deed!! Every day was something special...:Thanks for posting this video...:)

  • it sounds like little paul williams copy over ... yeeech.

  • this is not the original version of this song but the original singers

  • @horsefinger

    actually this is the original

  • I just love this song! It's what describes happiness!

  • love 60's music i wasn't around for it i am 30 years old its awesome love one animals beach boys yard birds everyone beatles elvis everyone the turtles...the least goes on and on.....love it not like todays music don't know what the hell anyone is saying all they say is yo yo yo wtf does that mean

  • glorious love!

  • Don't know how people did a remake on this song, but I remember it form the early1970s and it was one of my very favorites and still is.

  • the begining sounded like grease O.o

  • @0828tati you mean "Love Actually"? ahhhh, ha ha. See you know the movie! XD

  • @0828tati LOL. the beginning of Grease sounds like this!

  • I like this version best...

  • This is my wife's you tube; anyway...when I was 13 I slowed danced with lots of seriously beautiful girls at dances, lots of them in those innocent years. I had so much fun and this is a tender song. I'd whisper in their ear "come on and let it show"

  • @maria97979 firstly, does your wife know u've been using her youtube, and secoulndly, does she know about all these "seriously beautiful girls" lol

  • This is the Troggs but this is not from 1968. This is a different version and I think this is pretty weak compared to the masterpiece from 68

  • Superb song. Both the Troggs and Wet Wet Wet give awesome performances.

  • big up my home town Andover

  • My favorite Troggs song.

  • This is so much sweeter than the cover.

  • TO . PAUL MAC CARTNEY & FRIENDS

  • Fuck wank bugger shitting arse head and hole!

  • a timeless classic

  • This is a re-recording. The original recording is available on other posts here on YouTube. Check out the couple that are 3:00 long. This isn't bad, but it's no match for the original. I'm not bashing, just informing...

  • THUMBS UP FOR ALL THE 13 YEAR OLDS WHO HAVE A CONSCIOUS MIND AND LOVE 60s MUSIC!!

  • @LImiJA13 you're right there... this music, its lyrics, its whole ethos.... it is all so distinctive - even to those born decades later - because it is original, fed by the early, fresh, wide-eyed era of youth's phenomenal break free from mental chains. Much ( though not all ) music since then has become spirally derivative, or even plain mutual mimicry, gutted of all soul

  • @LImiJA13 wtf you moron

  • OMG i looooooooove this song!! :))

  • @kamilon022 look forward and smile my polish friend.

  • i love this song so much, i discovered it a few days ago.

  • This song is timeless

  • Love is all around me...Oh! Fuck wank bugger shitting arse head and hole!

  • Nice song....

  • Oh thank you for uploading this, the Wet Wet Wet version I found was really, really bad.

  • First time hearing the original. And wow, I´ve missed out on ALOT. Amazing

  • Marti Pello eat your heart out!!!!

  • this isnt hte original guys jeez this is clearly them when they're singing it when there older.

  • I love this so much. Thanks!

  • Not the same recording as the 1968 release on Fontana . I always like to call these later versions as the grandpa mix

  • Lmao. i only heard this song in Love Actually so its nice to hear this version lmao.

  • Anyone get here from the film "Get Real" or is that just me? lol

  • @Stevie2Sxc oh my goodness, I thought I would be the only one I love that movie and this song is awesome

  • Man if only I lived during those days.... Peace, love, drugs... whats not to like

  • @snipertje123 I did saw the Beatles, Doors Stones, Led twice, Moody Blues, Real Woodstock

Got high every day drag raced muscle cars, banged every hippie chick I could.

I could go on It was so fucking great

  • beautiful song, heard it at a thrift store and made me feel good, espically when i think of my new found love.

  • I'd forgotten about this sweet song. Thanks!

  • the troggs were so underrated - i was born in 1960 but listened to the radio all the time - this was always one of my favorites - sometimes i wish i was just a kid again - but this song helps :)

  • Played this song, this version, several times this week for my sons wedding. I used to dance to this song in the 60s. We would grab our favorite girl to dance to this song or Hey Jude

  • My e gitar tether is so good to sing the song . mein egitaren lehrer kenn das lied so geil singen

  • So So much better that that god awful wet wet wet cover. Could never stand those strokers !!

  • Never knew this was a Troggs song. Very nice.

  • Dave here. Strange. At 72, you'd think I'd prefer a more mature type of music, classical, or some such, but, for me, there's something almost hypnotic about this song. It feels as though I could listen to it all day, or night, long and never tire of it. Might just try it. I put on "playlist, autoplay" and I play my computer audio thru an FM transmitter. Will turn on my bedside radio w/Love All Around Me & see how I sleep, or not.

  • PURE BLISS.......

  • I played this last friday on giutar on my friends party, and it was great! I'm so glad! Thank you, Troggs <3

  • @theSaintAudrey

it's like you are prefering the parody of a great movie more than the movie itself.

  • Comment removed

  • @mikeQUAYD I couldn't agree more!!!

  • @theSaintAudrey Or you could say poetic but that doesn't rhyme!

  • @theSaintAudrey

Nice to know the original but I still prefer the versions of Wet Wet Wet and R.E.M..

  • @theSaintAudrey wtf kind of a stupid mindless garbage of a statement is that? these guys wrote the song so how can a cover be more poetic than the original? you're just used to new pop songs and probably listen to faggotly boy bands... fuck you and fuck you're taste go be stupid somewhere else

  • @rock2metal666

Tchao

  • @theSaintAudrey stop licking ur balls and speak in english

  • Thanks for uploading. great wordings.. great great poetry along with great music and singing. Thanks again for uploading.

  • @shahbaztherock

    with pleasure

  • @shahbaztherock I prefer the Bill Nighty version. :)

  • @shahbaztherock its not poetry you faggot, but I agree, its great music

  • @x1x2x3ct get a life son of a bitch, looks like you don;t know a thing about poetry.. putting you on iggy.. i have got better things in life to do

  • @shahbaztherock have you ever read shakespeare, tennyson or housman? no sane man would call this poetry, maybe second or third-rate poetry :>

  • what great wonderful lyrics.. who wrote this song?

  • @shahbaztherock - Love is All Around was written by Reg Presley, lead singer of the Troggs.

  • @violetjm Thankyou very much, the wordings of this song are really genius.

  • Those boys often dragged out their "t's" so that they sounded like they were followed by "s." "I feel it in my tsoes." " - and I gave mine tso you." I heard this again in a 1-hr. video, Christpher Hitchens discussing his book, "God is Not Great." One of his questioners, a fellow Brit, dragged out his "t's:" "-tss." That video's here, on YouTube.

  • Congress decides to send young men and women to foreign lands to fight and die. I stand by my original statement.

  • ok i think thatwe should AGREE that I and you are the same§§§!!!

  • ok, i'm wrong this are the original Troggs, but this is not the early hit-single version, its a remastered recording.

  • I love this song!!

  • I remember this from the radio yesterday (my age doesn't matter).

I was in my car by myself.

I'm not dating anyone at the moment.

On February 20th I left this comment.

I only ever really recieve letters from the bank.

And not much has changed since I began writing.

  • Dave here. @MrRonnieG: This 72-yr.-old kid at heart only recently heard this version of "Love is All Around" & liked it a lot, but without the baggage you're carrying. Having loved & lost more than once, I can "feel your pain." Though 42 years IS a long time to carry a torch, not all of the fish in the ocean are named Wanda, or in your case, Kathy, and that can make a difference. Let the flame burn out & light another match if you can. Goodbye & good luck.

  • LOVE AND THE SECOND AMENDMENT

    THE RIGHT TO BEAR FLOWERS

    ARE JUST ABOUT GONE

  • What a great post. Sounds like Kathy didn't deserve such a gentle man as you. I too have a old love I think of at times, but it's just memories now. I don't know you but would like to say WelcomeHome from Vietnam, and thank you.

  • this is a remake ace

  • To those who must always comment on which band's version is better, that's your OPINION and really, that mentality is TOTALLY tiresome.

Whichever band you favor -- or version you first heard -- that's likely to be your favorite. That's true for most people.

Something to consider, if you have any abilities of discernment--the original performer of pretty much ANY song will have nuances, soul and heart that usually are lacking in other covers. Just the way it is.

  • NO, this is not a beatles song

    YES, it is The Troggs

  • WOW--I can't believe the memories that came flooding back

being at the school dance, watching the guy I was crazy about, who didn't know I existed, dance with some other girl...........

there is nothing that can compare to that age, that time and the innocence (more or less) back then

makes me sad for young people today, that everything is so graphic, so R and X rated. I wouldn't trade those days for anything.

  • this is a beatlez song, the troggs nicked it FFS

  • @LeeClaxton Yeah, Reg Presley, that well-known member of the Beatles...you wanker...

  • There are many versions from the troggs of this song I am right? Which do you like more

  • i feel it on my finger, i feel up my nose, i roll it and then i fleck it and see how far it goes

  • this IS NOT THE TROGGS!!!!

  • The beggining sounds like a slower version of "Summer Lovin" from Grease.

  • 8 peoples are sucker!!!

  • What a beautiful statement by Mr.RonnieG. Sounds like an exerpt from a very good novel. Just a magical song, too.

  • great song, but gotta say i like the christmas version better from Love Actually

  • not the troggs..

  • @StagsTV you are right.

  • @StagsTV Sure is.

    This is a re-recording.

  • ich sage nur tatsächlich liebe

  • @MarvinNero Ya, ich, auch liebe!

  • played this song live about 3 weeks ago. still gets a great reaction!

  • Ronnie I served with the USAF at Nha Trang AB, RVN 1968-69. My God the number of poor young guys who got "Dear John letters" was so durn sad. We were 16,000 miles away and forgotten about.

  • Thank you for posting this song. I enjoyed those teen years and this music.

Oh well, I may be older, but still young at heart! The 60's music makes you feel that way!! Still young!! : )

  • @1948em that means I'm older at heart.

young or old, we all should recognize good music, old or new. personally, I prefer the old one.

  • @mikeQUAYD Aww, you are probably young at heart and don't know it. : )
