@stryderzer0 where do u stay? irene had NOTHING on katrina. houses were lifted off their foundations and floated down the damn street, dead bodies in the water, people trapped in attics because they couldn't swim, attempting to walk in water when in some places you couldn't reach the bottom, being called looters because you stole what you needed to survive. we waited for like a week after the storm to receive help in the sweltering heat without food or water...pussies? PUSSIES? not at all
this is near where I live : ( this used to be my favorite street, where I could shop for nifty antiques and imports, and go sip coffee or tea at the cafe. My little girl's school was on Jeff Davis
TWC might have sensationalized, but it is not out of place at all. I helped gut a house the thanksgiving in Bay St. Louis, which is right east of there, and there really is no way to exagerate what Katrina did.
@bull912000 I was there during the storm and after, lost everything that we had except our lives and the clothes on our backs, this in NO WAY was sensationalized. NOT at all. And Bay st. Louis is west of Long Beach Miss. I lived in Pass Christian , which Bay st. Louis is our neighboring town on the west across the bay, and Long Beach neighboring us to the east. My daughter and I lost everything, my dad lost everything, my sister and her family lost everything.
@bull912000 also both brothers and their families lost everything. My daughter and I, and my dad had to stay during the storm, we lived half a mile off the beach and got a 28ft storm surge at my house. We were on the second floor with waist deep water. This storm was NOT sensationalized at all. Everything I grew up around is gone, and will never be the same again.
@WheelockMT4LIFE Were you there? If you think this was sensationlized then NO you were not there. How can everything for miles and miles and miles being completely destroyed be considered sensationlized? Geeze people get a grip. Could you not see the total destruction? EVERYTHING on the beach, for 90 miles was completely destroyed. I mean absolutely nothing was left except for gutted buildings and piles of rubble. Sensationalism.... I think NOT!!!
Lol these monkeys in new Orleans are such pussies. This is nothing compared to hurricane Irene!
