Under the contract brokered by Student Action Executive Vice President Lee Fink and Student Action President Sharon Yuan and the fiscal restraint exercised by succeeding years of Student Action Executives and Senators, the ASUC returned to profitability, and paid off its full $6 million debt to the University under Student Action Executive Vice President Connor Moore and Student Action President Patrick Campbell.
Fought for by serving Student Action Academic Affairs Vice President Tony Falcone, the University earmarked $10 million a year to open up impacted majors and classes. Vice President Falcone also served on the small committee that helped guide the allocation of that money.
Student Action senators Jane Park and Dwight Asuncion authored a bill for the The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) referendum to fund environmental sustainability projects at UC Berkeley. Jane Park served as the Primary Proponent of the TGIF referendum, which successfully passed to establish TGIF. TGIF makes $170,000 available each year to fund sustainability projects initiated by students, faculty and staff.
Why do I want a party that doesn't think they can solve "big problems?" It has to start somewhere...
Learn your history, Ethnic Studies as we know it wouldn't be around if TWLF didn't happen at Berkeley. But y'all probably don't know what TWLF is, which is sad. I guess I should concentrate on bringing Green Day to campus instead of the Dalai Lama...
