I live in a state (SC) in which the statistical reality is that 90% of the blacks vote straight-ticket Democrat. Blacks are very socially conservative and religious, but politicians have patronized them and convinced them that Republicans secretly want them to dwell in abject poverty or worse, be enslaved again, so they need political protection. Welfare, which has been devastating the black community since the Johnson era, has kept blacks satisfied with Dems. It's a truly sad state-of-affairs.
I wonder if republicans know that the vast majority or blacks arent on welfare and that maybe because republicans harbor very bigoted views might cause blacks not to vote for them. If every single person on welfare were black that would leave about 75% employed. I really do think that most republicans think that their views arent bigoted when they really are.

I live in a state (SC) in which the statistical reality is that 90% of the blacks vote straight-ticket Democrat. Blacks are very socially conservative and religious, but politicians have patronized them and convinced them that Republicans secretly want them to dwell in abject poverty or worse, be enslaved again, so they need political protection. Welfare, which has been devastating the black community since the Johnson era, has kept blacks satisfied with Dems. It's a truly sad state-of-affairs.

You're overgeneralizing. Until FDR blacks voted solidly Republican, and now they vote solidly Democrat. Claiming falsely that the Republican "essence" is bigotry and racism is not an explanation. @TheCaliCapitalist In regard to welfare, while there is a slightly larger number of blacks than whites receiving welfare in the U.S. (used to be a slightly more whites, but that changed in the late 90s), keep in mind that only 13% of this nation's population is black -- receiving roughly 38% of the welfare. 72% of black births are out of wedlock for God's sake (compared to 29% of white births). The African American community and culture are in dire straits, and all Americans suffer for it.

Well in 1950's black had a poverty rate of about nearly 90%. Now its less than 25% and over 60% of blacks are in the middle class. Obama didn't win simply because he was Black. Powell is Black, but he was mercilessly hounded out of a potential race (even after claiming he had no intention of running for president). The fact is that Obama had socialist friends, had made the proper pro-Left comments, and thus was an "acceptable" Black to the Left Democrats.
Left Democrats have gone so far as to call Black Republicans "race traitors" and "oreos" (with allusions to fascist rhetoric). Democrats are (still) extremely racist..

When he says "afterall he's black" it is not meant as a derogatory comment. He is alluding to the bias the typical guilt-ridden 'liberal' feels for simply being 'white' and the politically correct genuflection typical 'liberals' feel toward blacks. He is expressing his sorrow for many blacks who seem to vote based strictly on race and not reasoned values. Atlanta, one of the wealthiest cities in America, is mostly black. Prince George's County, one of the wealthiest counties in America, is 80% black. Maryland, the wealthest state in the US, has a large black population.

Conservatives are idiots, black people vote Democrat anyway. In 2000, Gore got 90% of the black vote. In 2004, Kerry got 88% of the black vote. Bill Clinton had 83% in 1992, and 85% in 1996. These facts are from CNN's records (and fox news as well because I know some idiot conservative will argue that CNN isn't trustworthy), as opposed to where most conservatives get their "facts" from.
