I have the intake resonator removed. I actually added the resonator for the exhaust because I thought it was too loud and raspy. I just painted my valve cover

I just noticed, in this video I do not have my valve cover painted yet. My intake manifold is the stocker and I just got a spare exhaust manifold from the internet and had it ported out locally.

0-60mph in 14 seconds..? I wasn't expecting a race car, but damn.. My dad has a 2007 Hyundai Accent Hatchback and it does 0-60mph in way less then that and I assume they make very similar power.. Maybe I just mis-calculated.. Nice car either way..

yeah thats weird i have an 04 sedan automatic and all i modified was a short ram intake and it does 0-60 in roughly 9 seconds and im still missing those other mods... thats still a 5 second difference though

Not to diss the zo6, I like it. It's a great sporty muscle car, and it is great on a road course also... for an American car, which for the most part (i.e. Dodge Viper, Chrysler Crossfire, Ford Mustang, etc.) are rubbish on turns.

compare the aveo to the scion xb which has a 1.5l to the aveos 1.6l. why is it that when people trick out those box cars they credit but when someone has an aveo and tricks it they get laughed at. i dont get it. the scion is actually slower than the aveo. also the aveo is more aerodynamic and handles better. but because it has the name scion its better? no i dont think so.

also how do you get off sayin that american cars cant put down power? the cobalt ss is puttin down over 200 hp at the wheel out of the box. it can very well compete with a civic si anyday. another thing just like how the civic first started, the aveo isnt made to put out alot of power.

The Civic had (and has) potential to be fast... Honda gets a lot of power out of those 4-cylinders. Chevrolet (or Daewoo for that matter) doesn't. The Americans have lost their ability to make good cars, and the Koreans never made any (good cars).

The older civics had the same size engine and same compression and no one gave them any credit for the longest time about people started an underground movement with custom parts to just improve their cars a little bit, which is what we aveo owners are doing, and then eventually the aftermarket caught on and that's when hondas really started to get fast.

The civics in the last 80s and early 90s ran about the same in the 1/4 mile as our Aveo's so just like the civics our cars have the potential to get fast, we just need to work on our following. Besides us Aveo owners know we're not the fastest things out there, and our goal isn't to be. We know we can't compete with mustangs and supras, and we dont try to, we just want to, we just want to be on top in our class

Yeah it's a Chevy/Daewoo. So what. And yeah even though the thing isn't a rocket, it's a lot faster then stock and has enough get up now to not let me get ran over on highway onramps, which was my real reason for modding it anyway. Plus it gets great gas now, best I've squeezed out of it is 51mpg.

i think the biggest things to help my milage is e3 spark plugs, NGK wires, underdrive pulley, and some weight reduction. And keeping the rpms under 3k, which is possible to do and not be driving like a granny, it can get you up to around 70-75mph at those revs. Just watching your driving habits can have a big impact. I probably could squeeze 55mpg if I payed more attention
