  • Bellissimo!!

  • ZOMG! This show stoole everryyeeeting frum Narutoo! ZOMG! /sarcasm

  • @lulztimer What a failure.. you just proved that some people shouldn't watch anime because they are too stupid to understand anything. Oh , or they should be watching naruto.

  • @lulztimer 1) English is not my native language.

    2) Considering your previous FAIL, you shouldn´t be calling anyone noob.

  • @lulztimer Aaaand the winner, of the stupidest "anime in relation to Naruto" comment, by a miles wide margin iiiiis lulztimer! For beliveing that an ancient concept, as presented in an 80´s anime, is rip off of a move in Naruto.

While he faced some heavy competition, the fact that the tought that the technique being plagiarized, by a BLIND man mind you, is a technique relating to the eye and the users vision erased any shadow of a doubt about his victory. Well played sir, well played!

  • @lulztimer Please...PLEASE tell me your trolling.

  • @lulztimer Naruto is the rip off.

  • Ohhh, now it makes why Raoh as "Ken Oh" was able to master almost any fighting style out there (and I guess Jagi knowing some Nanto Seiken). Hokuto Shinken has to be that good being such a small school.

  • Wow, it looked like Shuu hurt him more in the manga. But either way his wounds didn't appear to last (even in the fight, I think his left arm got messed up a bit but most panels after look clean).

  • HATCHOE!

  • @radiostar34 bless you

    XD

  • Every time Rei attacked he would scream/howl "SHOOOOOOUUU!"

Guess what the name of the next Nanto character would be...

  • @darthcolonius Good one, except the next Nanto character is Yuda. Too bad Rei didn't scream Yuuuudddaaaa when he attacks.

  • @cartoonjerk You're right. *Next Friendly blue-themed Nanto character

  • Shuu's technique was the true quintessence of Nanto Seiken.

  • @mekhet83 no. sauzer is the quintessence of nanto. he IS nanto

  • @juresaiyan Shuu uses both arms and legs, slicing the enemies' bodies.

Souther has just that crosshaped cut and nothing more. He simply has no technique,

    Only an exaggeration by Buronson&Hara.

  • @mekhet83 I apologize.

  • @mekhet83 Free style and not naming ones technique doesn't means having no technique. Souther also uses thrusts, fast slices, and kicks to attack his enemy. Also, since Buronson and Hara are the authors of Hokuto No Ken, their words are the law of the manga. If these two says that Souther is the strongest of the Nanto Seiken, then he is the strongest of Nanto Sei Ken by default. Shuu's style may be better looking and more elaborate, but Souther is by default the quintessence of nanto.

  • @cartoonjerk The ability to analyze is a prerogative of the human being and according to my analysis the authors have done something exaggerate to describe it as the strongest. Obviously IMHO. I don't have your same idea but I respect it of course.

  • @mekhet83 It's not really my opinion this time around though, as I'm taking on the authors' point of view and the authors themselves said Souther is better then Shuu. Also, exaggeration is about making what really happened look more severe. Since Souther and Shuu are both fictional character, the authors can't really exaggerate their ability because whatever they wrote down is the truth. In this case it's the readers and fans who can do the exaggeration.

  • @mekhet83 You can't really do analysis unless it's not stated in the manga or if there are any contraditions between manga sections. In this case there aren't any contraditions, just two fighters with different levels of ability.

  • 3:31 CFOPPER LEG !!!!

  • Shuu is the best breakdancing b-boy of all the Nanto Seiken.

  • Shuu of Nanto Hakurou Ken is epic. He was the new Rei.

  • shuu the best

  • "I'll answer all men who challenge me with these fists"

    FUCKING EPIC

  • Shuu, the only man I respect

    Thumbs up if you agree

  • ...I'm sorry, this is just too cheesy for me to be able to take it seriously; same reason I wasn't able to finish reading the manga, even though I KNOW it's a classic. (I'm enjoying Souten no Ken, however.) How OLD is this anyways?

  • @Boleniana 1986, 87, around there. Cheesy or not, this was meant to be a semi-realistic show, outside of the obvious tank punching, etc. It's how the characters would have reacted if they were real. If your brother dies, who you trained your entire life with, you'll cry no matter how manly you are. And if your body starts to explode from the inside out, you're gonna scream like a sissy. I see this as an emotional anime due to the empathic realism.

  • @Tempest590 Makes sense, thanks for mentioning that. But I think it's probably the art style that makes it impossible for me to take seriously, more than anything with the characters (other than their visual design).

  • heh heh , try repeating between 0:47 - 0::52

  • POWA nice introduction: Korezo , Nanto RokuSeiken! HakuroKen No shinzui, Rekyaku Kuubu ! !!!Eat this Kenshirô ^^

  • shuu is bad ass , i wish he could be played in the fist of the north star game on ps3 and 3t60

  • 5:10 - But in the TV series, Raoh used this attack on Kenshiro before he'd he even met Yuda. Kind of a plot-hole there.

  • @sec0ndevolution My guess is even a Hokuto shinken master needs a few repeats before they learn an opponents move. Raoh only used it a couple of time against Kenshiro while Yuda used it to wail at Rei repeatedly.

  • Comment removed

  • @beast36001 Rewatch the episode. Raoh also uses Yuda's shockwave attack and Rei even says: "That's a secret of Nanto Seiken. Why does Raoh know it?"

  • 3:19 - 3:35 capoeria

  • This show looks bad ass. I never knew there was a series behind the fist of the north star movies i've seen.

  • Still one of the bes anime! Amazing.

  • @EniliasNailo In short, Forgiveness is a very universal theme and a lot of Mangas show protagonists be able to forgive or at least understand why the antagonists do what they do. It isn't enough to claim Hokuto No Ken a Christian themed manga just because it has cross and forgiveness in it.

  • @EniliasNailoI can see your view point, Christianity does have certain emphasize on forgiving others, but I'm also aware that forgiving others is not a Christian only theme. Other cultures also have it and claiming Hokuto No Ken to be ver Christian just because Kenshiro forgives Souther is seems to be a bit unthoughtful. If anything friendship is a central theme in all Shonen Jump mangas (Hokuto no Ken was a Shonen Jump). We often see antagonists forgiven and join the protagonists.

  • @EniliasNailo The cross symbol is about the only Christian thing there is, and even that is widely used in popular culture. Saying Souther's stance is christian would imply anyone with arms stretched and standing up straight would symbolize the cross.

  • manly manly

  • ケンとユダは戦ってな(ry

  • @GM53K

    ケンとユダは戦ってないけどマミヤの村でのケンvsラオウの時にラオウがケンシロウに使ってたよ。

  • that backflip counter kick was badass obviously Kenshiro was not expecting it anybody else and they would be split in half it looks like a caporeia technique

  • acyou!!

  • Damn Shuu, that was too fucking dangerous!

  • 1:07

× my eyes are closed forever

    ○ but I can see with mind`s eyes.

  • damn that was an intense fight

  • Shuu's my favourite Nanto Master. Comes first before Rei and Shin.

  • Comment removed

  • Shuu's facial scars look cool!

  • The fighting stance at 3:41 would make for a great profile icon!

  • the move of Shuu at 3:18 is really amazing. Watched it a million times. Probably the most unexpected thing in in HNK. Really epic

  • Don't mess with the Kenshiro !

But Shuu is an awesome character, calm and benevolent.

  • LOL 3:31 looks like something from that movie dont mess with the Zohan XD

  • i'd liked voting this wonderful piece of one of the best cartoon of ever.. 5/5

  • Shuu a blind man who saw with his "mind eye" and climbed up the pyramid with the very top of the pyramid. the top of the pyramid symbolizes the illuminati eye(all seeing eye) Shuu had the power of the illuminati eye in his final minutes. I think what the writers were trying to show is that even though the rich and powerfull have the power to build a pyramid only those who are willing to sacrifice to others can attain the ultimate perception of the all seeing eye.

  • hmm u have posted the most substantial peice of all my years on youtube u jabroni.

    who are you?

  • put the weed down and step away from the keyboard!!! your looking far to deeply into it

  • @Ignitiav Nice interpretation, but i dont think they actually tought this deep when making that scene.

  • @Nicholas121093 WTF igniatav is a freemason? wtf does the illumanti have to do with this, im 100% sure japanese don't know the meaning of that symbol and most people don't lol!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Ignitiav wtf man?

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaCHHOOOOOOoooooo

  • Fantastic video :D

  • best cartoon eveerrrr

  • che emozione!!!!

  • 3:41 Perfect.

  • when shu present the (nanto hakorouken...his voice is a robot)!

  • and why would shuu use his ultimate technique against ken knowing he would block it? I'm guessin he knew that his skills have improved when he was a child.

  • Rekkyaku Kuubu!

  • I love the way Ken can use a Nanto technique he just saw once

  • One think i don´t understand Hokuto shinken ogi: Suieishin is a copy tecnique or a tecnique similar to Yuda´s style? Aniways, great fight

  • its like learning something while you watch it and have the ability to pick it up. Its not on a expert level but just enough to get back. Its like watchin karate after awhile. You see it just enough to copy one move that you know that will get the job done.

  • @tomatrix

    Suieishin is a copy technique.

    Ken copied Yuda's style.

  • One of the best HnK Fights imo! RIP Shuu, you're great!

  • WHY?!

  • la tecnica dell airone d acqua di nanto era stupenda.Shu era un grande!!!!

  • Concordo pienamente!

  • Shuu is legendary!!!!

  • Shuu is one of my top 3 favorite characters from this excellent manga series. Great video!

  • So good we can see these episodes again :D Thanks for posting!!!

  • those guys from House of Madness did a hell of a job! I thank you sooo much!!

  • Seeing Rekkyaku Kuubu is always a great emotion.

  • Holy crap! haven't seen this in a long time- 1989

  • Shuu is probably the second strongest Nanto next to Souther.

  • lynn looks kinda like sakura from naruto in that thing

  • Nanto Sei Ken has 108 diffrent styles and it is translated as Sacred Fist of the Southern Cross.

  • Wow...Shuu kicks ass. ^^

  • He's the breakdancing blind man. How can't he kick ass?

  • A pure masterpiece!

  • truely awesome!

  • what happens next?

  • man, Southern Cross has about a thousand different versions :)

  • This translation is so bad. That reduced the attractive lines.

  • Whe does the translation says "my eyes are closed forever" when shuu says "saredo kokorono me ha hiraiteoru" which means "however, the eyes in my heart are still open"

  • is it the eyes "of" my heart? i'm asking because i was taught that "no" meant ownership. i need to get back to learning that nihongo. but if you were at least able to translate that verbatum, then you know more than i do.

  • yes. the putting into English is quite wrong

  • no could mean ownership. but it also could be 'the'

example: Kumo No Juuza= Juuza the Cloud.

  • Great!Pls put some other introductions or some of the greatest momnets or something.

  • best 7:54secs I spent all day!!

  • Fucking epic!

  • so awesome!

  • gosh man! thx for the vid, it is awesome
