I feel sorry for angry little girl, I think she got ripped off. 1,200 a month for something that small and there seems to be no bathroom. That is expensive for something like that. I wonder how much the utility bill is. If I lived there I would start getting claustrophobic. My rent is 630$ with utilities ranging from 75$ -180 and I Have a decent sized living room,kitchen,bathroom(you've got to have that), bedroom with a patio.

@Killedkennyagain We live in an affluent suburb of Indianapolis, in a very nice crime free neighborhood of ~55 yo houses with a Elmementry school in the center, a church on the edge, <5 min from your choice of 4 interstates. Our house is 1118 sqft plus basement, 3 bed room, 2 full baths, 2 car attached garage, and we have only a $475 a month mortgage.
@KWatson1984 I digress, but I don't actually think it is high in NYC. If I am not mistaken jobs also pay a bit more in the city (they'd have to to compensate for that increased cost of living.) Also, mortgage is one thing, rent another. There are additional expenses a homeowner incurs that the renter does not, among other factors, to be short, house vs rent payments are a bad choice of comparison.

@Killedkennyagain We live in an affluent suburb of Indianapolis, in a very nice crime free neighborhood of ~55 yo houses with a Elmementry school in the center, a church on the edge, <5 min from your choice of 4 interstates. Our house is 1118 sqft plus basement, 3 bed room, 2 full baths, 2 car attached garage, and we have only a $475 a month mortgage.
1200/mo is nuts.

@KWatson1984 I digress, but I don't actually think it is high in NYC. If I am not mistaken jobs also pay a bit more in the city (they'd have to to compensate for that increased cost of living.) Also, mortgage is one thing, rent another. There are additional expenses a homeowner incurs that the renter does not, among other factors, to be short, house vs rent payments are a bad choice of comparison.
