  • 1:50 middle finger on "F" xD

  • Ending it right when he was about to play actually made me go to the website. Well played easy jazz piano.com

  • Why dont you shut up????

  • one of the licks sounds like one of the songs played by the Five Peace Band , i forgot which one. give the cd a listen.

  • VERY GOOD, THANKS

  • A really good, and simple jazz progression is:

    Imaj7 - IVmaj7 - bVImaj 7- bIImaj7

  • I can't understand those chords

  • Sorry... I'm a musical theory person, so I can use terms you're not familliar with.

Basically, if you were playing this in the key of C Major, the chords would be: Cmaj7, Fmaj7, Abmaj7 and then Dbmaj7.

  • @flavonator Alright thanks! I've made a small jazz riff which is pretty soft: The key is C major, first a Dmaj7, G7b13 (I think.. but notes on piano is G,B,D,F,G#) , Cmaj and then A7 aug!

  • @flavonator ahahahahhaa "im a musical theory person hahaha no your not....

  • I actually passed with credit for a Grade 7 musical theory exam for AMEB last year, so shut the fuck up.

  • lmao oh you guys...

  • @cursestar LOL....

  • the lick sounds like james bond

  • i have to admit your a bloody good teacher!

  • ?

What is the difference about Jazz n Blues?

  • Blues: Playing in the blues scale.

Jazz: Voicing chords, harmonic and dorian scales, etc.

  • Can you give me an example of...Voicing chords, harmonic and dorian scales, etc.

  • voicings are the smooth chords you hear when they play in thier left hand while soloing with the right hand. harmonic scale is basically a minor scale. a dorian scale is lets say, Cminor for example, if your jamming on Cminor then you play with the Bflat major scale (whole step below C)

  • Can you explain a little more in depth please

  • what exactly you wanna know?

  • Anything that can help me get off of the three 1,4,5 chords only

  • lol i still dont know what you mean. give me a song for example.

  • Lol..like can you explain or give me nice jazz chords and tell me where i can use them

  • I'd say the best is IImin7 - V7 - Imaj7. Except it sounds nicer if you do 9's instead of 7's.

  • if you wanna get out of that blues progression you just need to find a chord progression for jazz

there are plenty of them used in many tunes

this is the most common i believe:

    Ima7 - VIm7 - IIm7- V7

    try that

  • thanks!

  • i really wish I'd seen this 20 years ago when I started learning! Kids these days have no excuse! Nice work, Sir
