So so sad seeing this place go to ruin. I had a few summer holidays here with my parents when I was a kid, the last time was the summer of 78 as I remember having the cassette Live and let live by 10cc. So many memories of this place where kids could wander off withouth fear to make friends with other kids. The food call "the sun has got it's hat on" even in rain! and in the foodhall on your tables, either supporting Embassy Gold or Embassy Regal...jeez how things have changed. great times
we used to go to broadreeds in the 70s i was very young but i can still remember most of it, and camber sands, ive been back to camber 3 times in the past 5 years its not like it used to be its very shabby, the blue coats are friendly and nice, but it just doesnt have that wow factor, my kids of course love it to bits, i hope to new owners invest and do camber up like they recently promised ..
@LeanneDCfan You missunderstand my comment, what i mean is the places are full of trouble makers now who spoil it for the decent families, take a look at some of the videos on here and you will see what i mean.
its a shame but as previously said these times have now gone for good, these places are now full of scum and drunks with 10 kids each, dole scroungers on cheap weeks spoiling the true holiday makers. these placese have now been ruined.
A bygone era.... I still remember Fred Pontin and his thumbs up 'book early' on the telly ads. Sadly, places like this are now full of drunken, shouty pikey families with their £9 newspaper holiday vouchers.

nothing like the great British Holiday camp. I am sure there would be demand for a nostalgia event at one of the Pontins Camps

I was a DJ at Brixham Devon in 1974.
Best time of my life!
I agree with earlier comments, to many drunks and
dole scroungers, spoilt it for the good holidaymakers.
