I've entered absolutely loads of poems this year and I'm really hoping to make it onto the arvon trip, looks brilliant.
Being able to meet like-minded people would be spectacular.

Christ, this makes me want to be seventeen again. I also went to the Hurst when I won and it was great. The ridiculous in-jokes of our year involved Andrew Motion, Bananas and tampax.
It's only funny if you were there! etc

OMG went to Ted Hughes' old house for my Arvon trip. I sat in his rocking chair lol

This week was amazing, I suggest that anyone with the chance to go on an Arvon course grabs it with both hands. I was sceptical at the beginning of the week, I'll admit, but by the end, I was singing Hokey Kokeys and workshopping with the best of them! :D
