  • who disliked the video so much? Litterally tree huggers

  • I have a russian sks and i love it....70 round drum....i could shoot for days...

  • The bullet needs to be larger then the bore for a proper seal in order to gain pressure. 7.62 or .30cal is the diameter of the bore. Most .30cal rifles use a .308 or .309cal bullet. The bullet is compressed as it travels down the barrel. I realize this was 2 years ago and got sorted out already I'm sure. I'm just putting in my 2 cents.

  • @tigerm48 rock river arms makes a AR in .243

  • I think the tree won

  • its the trees turn to shoot, and you better stand just as still ! !

  • Too close to the tree.......Becareful the bullets bound back to you and..You end up Kill yourself because so stupid!

  • Beware of the flying shrapnel, it can bounce back and seriously hurt you!

  • what is better sks or 243

  • It really depends on what your looking for in a rifle. The SKS is roughly a .30 caliber semi-auto, not really that light but because of this has only a little more recoil then a .22 caliber, but not very accurate beyond 200-250 meters. The 243 it a smaller caliber bolt action and has a lot of recoil for the size of the weapon, but accurate to about 350-400 meters. I prefer the SKS because the availability of ammo, its semi-auto capabilities, and the low recoil.

  • @Trygar1987 thanks for the feedback

  • @Trygar1987 haha what .22 have you been shootin that moves your shoulder that much

  • @garvinsnow I would recomend the sks. ammo is cheaper, the gun is usualy cheaper than the 243s. its semi auto while most if not all 243s are bolt. but if u want a deer rifle i would take the 243. anything else... targets, vermin gun, whatever... go sks. and trygar1987 is totaly right about the recoil. sks has none and the 243 has tramendous kick for its size

  • @garvinsnow

for sure always keep ammo prices in mind, thats wat racks up the bills. in canada i found a guy that can sell me 1200 rnds for 200 so like 17 cents a bullet u cant go wrong

  • Magazines for the sks are a PLAY TOY IDEA. THey take longer to attach then a stripper clip empties into the fixed magazine. Plus you only get 10 extra rounds seeing as IF you dont have the CHINA d version sks they dont feed good because of the pressure on the action is off. TOO unreliable with magazines. Stripper clips never fail once you get good at them and they are broken in. An excelent "in the hills" type combat gun even for modern combat. You get more accuracy and longer range then a ak47

  • you showed that tree who is boss.

im amazed at how much those steel core x39 can penetrate

  • @lexmark136

    Trees don't shoot back

  • @lexmark136

Buy a pig head from farm and go to desert and shoot, surely you will see the damage! Good luck

    I did it before!

  • Me and my uncle use to chop trees down alll the time with his Sk ... there fucking awesome guns .. LOUD AS FUCK .. but they have like no recoil at all

  • sks is loud, LMAO its less than a 30-30

  • @SerpentineBoa1986

But .303 not enough power 10rounds single action vs with SKS Semi-auto 30rds...

English man all get kill and do not have a change to reload their rifles!

  • @iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa

If from Arizona, do not shoot the cactus, you in jail for a long times

  • yea i think thare protected in that state even know that is kind of a dumbass ideal of thim to governmently protect cactus sense thares so meny of thim thare

  • Nice.

  • I hate trees too. JK LOL

  • u should convert that so it can hold a 30 round ak clip

  • it already takes clips, you mean magazine

  • @camaroryda6905 most of the time when people change it, it doesn't cycle right

  • You need soft point bullets to take down trees. One stripper clip of them should do it to a tree that size. Makes for easy Christmas tree cutting.

  • lol that was cool dude justice in the barrel of a loaded gun ,.,,,,,,,,,,,, u was right

  • Brutal.

  • the tree won dude!!!

  • also the russians are the original producer of the 7.62x39 as it was soviet born.

germany used the 7.63 which was similar looking from afar but is a completely different round

  • germany used 7.92 not 7.63

  • it is very simple as i reloard for all of these calibers

    7.62x39 has a .311 dia

    30.06 has a .308 dia

8mm has many different diameters depending on military or commercial, and which century.

  • Have you heard the misconception with the diameter of the SKS round ? 7.62x39 =?, If you take out an 8mm rifle round, you will see the bullet is exactly the same. And when you use a calibration device - you will find out it rounds out to 7.92, the exact caliber of an 8mm. So why lie about the cal? Or are they using a different measuring system then American and metric?

  • The SKS uses the 7.62 X 39, the same as the AK-47. This is a Russian round. You must be talking about the 7.92 X 33 that is a German round in such weapons as the Stg-44, which is also known as the "8mm". I fire the same rounds through my SKS as I do with my Romanian AK.

  • I never stated that I was talking about a different round. Grab a 7.62x39 and run it through an electronic burnier caliber - the actual bullet piece will read 7.92. Why there is a double standard I do not know. Its possible like the 30-06 shell changed since the 1870s that the 7.62x39 got changed to 7.92x39 and the name is being kept the same. I know my history - its cool - just use an electronic burnier caliber - and compare it to that of a 30-06 bullet (7.62) and an 8mm (7.92) and you will see

  • Ok, I'm not saying that your wrong, I may not be understanding exactly what you're saying. But I don't see how a 7.92 will go through the barrel of my SKS that was made for 7.62, unless the Russians copied the bullet exactly and changed the name so they can call it their own. Because everyone knows they do that a lot.

  • @mar221985 Correction...you're referring to a digital vernier caliper.

  • I understand. Here is what I want you to do. To better understand everything, go to wikipedialorg and type up 30-06. It has a history profile that over the years the diameter of the bullet changed, along with the barrel - that is the same situation with the 7.62x39. But I imagine -since the original specs for the 30-06 changed, along with the barrels etc - the same thing happened with the 7.62 changing to a 7.92 for the SKS/AK models.

  • the 30-06( m1) is the same as the 7.62 x 54r thats the same bullet the svt 40 and mosin ,svd shot. 8mm mauser is a totally different bullet.

  • 30-06 is not the same as a 7.62x54r. The two bullets each have a different diameter.

  • wrong

  • WHO CARES

  • Very nice. I think I will put my box mag back on for hunting season. Right now I'm trying out a 5 round mag - because in Michigan you can't go hunting with a 30 mag, and I feel comfortable with magazines then the box mag because you can easily remove the 5 round mag.

But with the 5 round mag, its plastic and your second round always jams - so - I am going to try filling it to capacity - and seeing if that helps any. If not - I am putting the box mag back on.

  • "take a listen papa"

  • "play some for mama now"

  • 20 rounds and the tree still stands! Tree 1 sks 0! JK

  • tree hater

  • By far the most retarded video I have watched on youtube. WTF is the point of shooting a tree? You didnt even show the damage you caused. completely pointless. i want those 42 seconds of my life back.

  • shoulda blown the damn thing down, even if it took all day

  • That would get expensive

  • just take your time on the shot i got my tree in 20 rounds and yes gotta love 7.62

  • Ooohh yeah... fun stuff.
