I had the same idea for an "organic noise" concept except I would grow a plant and record the subtle sounds of it growing, then timelapse it down to a minute or so and see what the results are. If you watch "People Who Do Noise", Pulse Emitter has an interest in converting maps of planets to a language that can be transcribed to audio, so in a sense you can "Hear" the planet's landscape.
