One thing I do like about this thid movie is that it included something in the novel that the first two films don't: the Old Man of the Wandering Mountain. Anyone who has read the novel would know who he was.

This movie so far is not all that bad.......To tell you the truth it's an improvement from the last film. This one seems more magical, not as quite ast the first but a whole lot more than the second film. To me the second film was more a D&D movie. The only big dissapointment to me is Atreyu not appearing in this movie.....shrewd.

@Theshark15z I agree. It's too bad that Attreyu is not on this one. I was surprised why Engywook and Urgl were on this movie since they weren't main characters (they were only on the first film) but, Attreyu was a main character especially being on the first two films. My only guess was that, the director couldn't find a good actor to play as Attreyu, or nobody auditioned for the part for Attreyu where the director had to adjust the script and take Attreyu's lines out of the movie.

@popculturebaby Maybe Mr. Koreander must have meant that he was asking Bastian making sure that he is not cutting classes by hiding in the library. On the first film, when he first met Bastian, he saw that Bastian was hiding in his bookstore away from some school bullies which is why he was asking him if he was playing hooky from school.
