He could unpossible killed him self, I think that someone were jealous at him , and they noticed that he were dipressed , and to make people think he killed himself , he hung him , and maybe Jonathan were drunk , I dont know , but if he were , he may not noticed what the guy or girl were doing , and thats true.
Look , What if he actuelly got murdered , As you say , his friend said that he were acting weird at the end , but it doesnt mean that he did kill himslef , he helped people , he really did ,

Yes,I agree that Jonathan was suffering from bipolar depression.I have my doughts that Jonathan killed himself,sometimes.I just think,it takes alot for a person to do that to themselves.He was very talented and smart.He is so missed by so many that loved and respected him.-Rest In Peace,Jonathan Brandis.
