As much as I love ARTHUR and GWEN(and GWEN AND LANCELOT), they need more scenes likes this. Love the O' so dramatic "WE LOVE EACH OTHER BUT WE CANNOT BE" scenes, they're good but could be better if they had more BANTER, and could get angry at each other...just something different. That's what makes a STRONG couple...if they were technically a couple.

Yeah! I was thinking. Maybe in season 3 a lady form a foreign land will come to Camelot who is maybe a good friend of Uther and stays at the castle. By that Gwen becomes her handmaiden. While the lady stays at Camelot they grow a daughter/mother bond ore something. And myabe it would be awesome if she is the mother of Gwen ore something. A twist ore something. Maybe this sounds ridiculous but it would be GREAT if this happens. so not! i make this a great story of Gwen and a bit arwen of it! :P
How much I love Lancelot I agree the only things linking Gwen and Lancelot is 'social class' and it seems more real for Gwen to marry him but Arthur and 'Guinevere' is personality matched =D and P.S. everyone should listen to the cast commentary to Arthur and Gwen's scenes between Colin and Bradley they both stutter when Angel's clevage come into show XD

actually Lancelot doesn't suit for Guinevere. the only thing that connect them is that they are on the same "social class". But Lancelot is not her match. Back then in the middlw ages Rome fell and all connections to the Med. and the south were cut off they were busy fighting Anglos-Saxons, and that is what Arthur is known for... the Great Matter of Britain. He defeated the anglo-saxons... granted in 1066 they took over completely but still. So my point is they had no black people there, maybe some rmaining low class when Rome ruled, but Gwen was always a brit and should be white
It is a TV show and one shouldn't read into it, and A.C. is talented, so I guess we have to use our imagination, because even if Guinever was most pribably white, we don't really know what happened, just that some of these people existed and something like this happened, a king and a queen and there was a knight who liked her, we do not know wether or not there was adultery, and we know that the kign had strange relationship with his halfsister Morgana, and people tried to
take his kingdom and maybe marry his queen while he was at war.
And maybe some author got inspired and made up a tale, and then another based a tale on the other author's tale and added his dramatics( or lies we can call them)
For example Lancelot and Guinever version was created 600 years AFTER it all, and the original (which I believe) Welsh stories do not talk of adultery, merely that knights admired the queen and the king was very careful and looked closely over his wife like a treasure.
I totally agree, i had to research the legend as part of my course and the affair aspect was completley fabricated by the medieval people. Just one thing though, i hadnt realised the basis was in Wales i was always led to believe that it was a cornish legend. Amazing the things you find out!

As much as I love ARTHUR and GWEN(and GWEN AND LANCELOT), they need more scenes likes this. Love the O' so dramatic "WE LOVE EACH OTHER BUT WE CANNOT BE" scenes, they're good but could be better if they had more BANTER, and could get angry at each other...just something different. That's what makes a STRONG couple...if they were technically a couple.

And then.... i am no angry, upset, ore sad anymore. They make all the time smile. It's ridulous i know. But still i can't help it.

I always tought that in season 1 she looked very pretty and endearing but in this season WOW! she really looked beautiful. But i didn't like one thing about gwen in the second series. yeah, 'theangelgirl' I thought the same as you, maybe Gwens mother has something to do with her being able to become queen one day. Otherwise I can't figure out how a servant could marry a prince. Maybe she has a secret identity she does not yet know about?
And I also think that the reason that Arthur is so drawn to Gwen is because no one has shown him love before, he has had no mother for this and he does not recieve love and affection from his father.

Yeah! I was thinking. Maybe in season 3 a lady form a foreign land will come to Camelot who is maybe a good friend of Uther and stays at the castle. By that Gwen becomes her handmaiden. While the lady stays at Camelot they grow a daughter/mother bond ore something. And myabe it would be awesome if she is the mother of Gwen ore something. A twist ore something. Maybe this sounds ridiculous but it would be GREAT if this happens. so not! i make this a great story of Gwen and a bit arwen of it! :P

How much I love Lancelot I agree the only things linking Gwen and Lancelot is 'social class' and it seems more real for Gwen to marry him but Arthur and 'Guinevere' is personality matched =D and P.S. everyone should listen to the cast commentary to Arthur and Gwen's scenes between Colin and Bradley they both stutter when Angel's clevage come into show XD

They both lost their mother when they where young ( of gwen whe don't know i really hope whe will know more about her mother and here lack of absence in series. Exactly! To be hones they both haven't got Fathers either, Uther killed Gwens and Uther is always training Arthur up to be king and never actually shows him any love. Arthur brings out the confidence in Gwen and Gwen brings out the kindness in Arthur. They are so perfect XD

actually Lancelot doesn't suit for Guinevere. the only thing that connect them is that they are on the same "social class". But Lancelot is not her match. He doesn't challenge her like Arthur does. he is a bit tooo Gary Sue that he annoys me. Even though Arthur and Gwen are not on the same "social class" they suit each other sooo perfectly! i would be really mad if Lancelot interferes Gwen and Arthur... Actually, there is a video on you tube, where the director was talking about the casting...Maybe he lied to hide the fact...but apparently Angel was a late cast, and he immediately liked her because she was able to pull off the shy / sweet / funny character they were looking for......Had nothing to do with color

I completely agree and have been saying that here for like ever.
Back then in the middlw ages Rome fell and all connections to the Med. and the south were cut off they were busy fighting Anglos-Saxons, and that is what Arthur is known for... the Great Matter of Britain. He defeated the anglo-saxons... granted in 1066 they took over completely but still. So my point is they had no black people there, maybe some rmaining low class when Rome ruled, but Gwen was always a brit and should be white

And maybe some author got inspired and made up a tale, and then another based a tale on the other author's tale and added his dramatics( or lies we can call them)
For example Lancelot and Guinever version was created 600 years AFTER it all, and the original (which I believe) Welsh stories do not talk of adultery, merely that knights admired the queen and the king was very careful and looked closely over his wife like a treasure.

I totally agree, i had to research the legend as part of my course and the affair aspect was completley fabricated by the medieval people. Just one thing though, i hadnt realised the basis was in Wales i was always led to believe that it was a cornish legend. Amazing the things you find out!
