not the first time, Sonic has had a lot of humans in his life. Not all of them are the same series of course but yea, a good example is the Sonic Movie, where a princess similar to Elise is like Sonics Girlfriend.
I know, but she was still called a Princess (it's an old anime movie, not everything made sense). And that was back when Amy wasn't too strong of a supporting character, so Sarah was a one time only character to be one of Sonic's girlfriend.
Sarah was called Princess many times by almost all the characters in the movie (Sonic, Tails, Eggman, and i'm almost positive Knuckles did too). Even though her dads Mayor, I guess thats like a King in the movie.
