@raftingdude This review was uploaded in 2009. The new 2011 GLK has better steering, and it has been tightened so it's not as loose as previous models. I'm guessing you have a newer model? Thinking of getting this car...
this is an suv so i dont know why he expects it to handle like a c or e class sedan, if you look at the specs posted on consumer reports the emergency handling is 53mph which i think is pretty good for an suv...once again this isnt a sedan, i dont think this guy realizes that

The GLK goes like a rocket, handles like a $100,000 vehicle and has a classy European interior. The only downside is the cramped back seat. Everything else - the ride, the handing, the finish, the power - is tops.

Controls are odd? My dad has a GL450, and the controls are perfectly fine, ergonomic at best. My neighbor, who gives me a ride to school everyday, has an RX-class. Pain to watch her fumble and complain about how everything is controlled on screen.

Consumer Reports never give good advice. They are where ugly, insecure people get their "advice." They never recommend anything exceptional. They only recommend things that are cheap and not intimidating. This guy can't even speak in a way that I can understand. CR is for LOSERS.

RX...too soft.......CX7 too tight...and turbo off/on.....RDX fair ride..but turbo off/on.......X3..are you kidding? To anybody who has driven these cars and I have, the GLK is a stroke of genius. TYPICAL Merc ride with a lot of power..this is the same engine/tran as in the much larger ML series...... He also forgot, or didn't know, about the adaptive shocks...Geeze!
I agree! My dad has started letting me drive around in his GL-Class, power. You barely push the pedal and the car goes forward with a nice loud, but refined, roar. Push it even more and you get more power. And then there's cars like the Lexus..
