I need to ask you all a serious question. Did Sam and Frodo ever lay together, and more importantly, what does a hobbit penis look like? I have searched the appendices meticulously, but alas, my searches have been fruitless. Help anyone?
The problem with Elrond killing Isildur here is that the men would never have bought it. They would have assumed that Elrond killed Isildur to take the One Ring for himself and now had it hidden with him. And a giant melee in the middle of Mordor where the Orcs havn't been completly destroyed but meerly fallen back without a leader sounds like a bad idea to me.
Elrond spends his time blaming Men about the ring but he didn't even attempt to get the ring off Isildur. maybe because Isildur is well known to be stronger then him and while the ring is in his possession, its evil powers make him even stronger. who knows. all that i know is Isildur didn't even try to destroy it himself.
I think if Elrond would have taken the ring it might have corrupted him aswell, even Frodo couldn't do it in the end, because the ring's power is strongest in the 'Crack of Doom' that they are in.
Why did'nt Elrond take the ring away from him and throw it into the fire?? He just stood there and did nothing when Isildor walked away. So, Elrond is in some way olso responsible...
Elrond should have put an arrow in his back, and thrown it himself. He could always make up a story about Isildur accidently falling into mount doom, or something............
