can you tell me where u would see the sticker for g80 locker?? bc im looking to buy one and im not buying something that wont spin posi aka good limited slip
@acousticskyline great video man I'm now a proud own of my dad's old 01 tahoe lt 4x4. I was hoping you could tell me about the G80 lockers you have. First a price range. second about controlling them..do you manually have to lock them, and if so when should they be locked and unlocked. if theres anything else let me know, thanks
you probably have the g80 locking diff does both tires spin all the time ? and they lock bythem selfs when one tire spins one rotation then the other will lock also check you glove box there should be a sticker on it with all the codes see if you can find one that says g80
@Bacardiandcola68 The G80 is an optional feature on GM vehicles, there's nothing to control...when one wheel slips and the RPM difference between the two rear wheels is big enough the rear axle will automatically lock. Like mike12392 said in your glovebox you should see a sticker with a bunch of codes on it, if you see G80 then you have it.
@navigator012007, i highly doubt that. your 88 Lincoln would make it through the water crossing. If you do make record it so we can see it!
@AcousticSkyline, nice Tahoe, i have a 01, with G80 rear. LIfe with out a g80 would be unfair. It is pretty much a TrueTrac! It is a locker but only when you need it! Here is something out of the blue. Have you replaced your rear shocks? Mine are dead, and i just got a quote and all i can say is WTF!
@gytr04 The G80 has helped me get out of many situations that I would have been stuck in if I had an open rear...or probably even a LSD. Haven't replaced the rear shocks yet...
@navigator012007 I know you won't believe this with that comment you made, but I swear an FJ couldn't get up that right before i gave it a go. Right around the time my rear passenger wheel slipped and then locked (~7 sec in) he kept slipping and couldn't get up. I don't know if he just didn't know how to drive or he doesn't have a rear locker or what. But I promise your Town Car won't make it up.
Look! You don't need an SUV or a truck to climb up a hill. I could do it in any car, even in a Smart.

You all must not do a lot of off-roading, eh? My 88 Lincoln Town Car would go up that!
