  • Great compilation, but all the sequels are not written by Stephen King the only sequel he has participated is creepshow 2, and of course the dark tower series.

  • Stephen King's books are the best books in the world, I'd always wanted to know how many movies are of his books n_n Thanks for the video, long life to King!! :D

i love each novel from him

  • 'the lawnmower man' inspired by stephen king is an awesome Super Nintendo game as well

  • ...and in almost no instance is the movie better than the book, save shawshank and the Mist, gotta give it up to Frank Darabont or that.

  • @rastan1977 I do...

IT is a very long and interesting book. I read it when I was 13... and the movie I watched at 5 ¬¬ when I read the book I said: Damn... that movie is very very poor :S

  • Stephen King is the best thing to happen to horror!

  • missing Silver Bullet, Night Shift, The Mist, and Dolan's Cadillac.

  • @dmandiggidydog

The Mist and Dolan's Cadillac were after this video.

  • Um he actually sued the director of Lawnmower Man for using his name to sell that movie it's not based on or even inspired by his story, they're polls apart.

  • @KronantheBarbarian I kno, the judge said if the director didn't removed his name from the movies history, he would have to pay King $25000 a day or somthin.

  • Great job. What's the song's?

  • nice

  • does anyone know were i can watch apt.pupi for free in canada

  • needs to be a dark tower series

  • My all time favourite movies from King would have to be: Misery, Dolores Claiborne, Pet Sematary, Stand By Me & Thinner. However I still haven't seen all so I may have more favourite ones added to my collection.

  • which one is the scariest

  • @tear483 I recommend you to watch pet cemetery but watch it by ourself at night.

  • whats the song at 2:51?

  • Haven't watched King in YEARS, but I thought The Dead Zone was spooky.

  • I think you forgot about The Stand

  • Which is the name of the openis song?????????

  • THANX. Now to download it.

  • carrie. all time favoriteeeee!!!!!

  • i didnt know stephen king did dolores claiborne and shawshank redemption. Those are two of my favorites.

  • yea stephen king makes some good horror movies. My favorite are it, children of the corn, pet semetary, and the shining. Espicially the shining that twin scene scared the living shit out of me

  • Isn't the frist theme from IT ??????

  • yes it is

  • @pinkkat97 Stephen king directed it

  • @aerosmithofficial3 wow thats cool !!

  • @pinkkat97 for what???

  • @aerosmithofficial3 i dont really know ...

  • @pinkkat97 duhhhhh really???

  • @pinkkat97 yes men

  • @pinkkat97 Yep

  • @chelseybabyyy, nah pet semetary 2 like children of the corn 2, 3, 4 etc are all said to be associated with stephen king but he had nothing to do with them, only the originals, sequels are just for money, i don't think they would have made much anyway lol

  • @TheMercyFlush true true true..

Also, LawnMower Man isn't related to him either. King has a story called LawnMower Man in Nght Shift, but there is no associationt between the story and the movie.

  • WOW there was 7 children of the corn

  • The Shawshank Redemption Wow what a Movie!

  • lo amo!

es el mejor y más que la puta que escribio crepúsculo! aaaa amo dios, serñor jajaja bno no es para tanto pero si es el mejor hasta ahora...

  • Im not positive but I don't think Stephen King made Pet Sematary two. But pet Sematary, Kingdom Hospital, Children of the Corn, and the Carrie's were my favorites from his.

  • you're right. Stephen King didn't made that movie and some others sequels as Rage (carrie 2)

  • tou missed steven king's "The Mist."

  • Have there ever been comic books namned Creepshow in the US or do they only exist in the two movies by Stephen King?

The best movies, and books, in my opinion is The Shining, Pet Sematary, and It. Pet Sematary scares the hell out of me. I watched it once and had to sleep with the light on for a week, seriously, though I was 16 at the time. Haha! That's what horror movies are meant to do I guess.

  • apt pupil is fucking sick.. i love his books, and watched only some of his movies, but i love them too. only shit thing is that sequels just dont work....

  • you missed Stephen King's The Mist

  • myy god i only see children of the corn 1 2 and 3 didnt even know he made more raaaas

  • stephen king had nothing to do with creepshow 3 it was made by dicks with to much free time

  • Stephen King

is one of the best movie makers of all time

  • you can say that again...

  • the only good movie was stand by me

  • @OACYLU Well the fuck you asshole you must have poor taste

  • wow your an immature bitch god take easy. you take shit to seriously your acting lick a stupid retard bitch fuck

  • @OACYLU All i have to say to you is FUCK YOU!

  • Creo q te falto "Jenifer" ???

  • Actally, The Lawnmower Man has nothing to do with Stephen King's story. Only in title.

  • quite a few b-grade films in here. The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile are really the only classics.

  • @MiKKA335 That's a matter of opinion...I don't care much for some of the sequels that came out, but there are many more Stephen King classics than just those two movies - Carrie, The Shining, Misery, Stand By Me..just to name a few. I'm also surprised you focused merely on two that were outside of the horror genre that he defined in his career. Stephen King is a household name associated with horror. Are you more a fan of his drama than his horror?

  • Johnny depp was perfect in the Secret window...

    Crazy shit...

The IT was totally creepy, but still awesome!

DreamCatcher was bizarre but sweet... I mean seriously.. Out of the peoples asses? are you kidding me? Great story though...

Stand by me is epic... Just epic.....

    Shining is scary as hell!

    To put this short:

Everything from Stephen King is awesome!

  • Hello friend, I like me very much the video, but I you remember that you lack " the fog " and the miniseries "the boys of the corn" up to soon.

  • I would like to point out that the sequels u have in the vid stephen king didn't write.

  • oh cheers i didnt know that.

    (sarcasm not intended)

  • I have to aggree and some of these movies are just rip offs that Stephen King never endorsed

  • wats up with Micheal Jackson's Ghost????

Is tht a real movie by Stephne King lol.

  • im 12 and i think 'it' is funnythere are no scary bits, its not his best fim

  • Go read the books. You're twelve you have no opinion on his works as you werent part if his time.

  • I've never seen IT...is that a scary one?

  • Depends on u. Some ppl are totally freaked by it, but others aren't. I was when I saw it 1st time as 12. But now I'm 18 and the parts where he growls or whatever are creepy, but it's not really scary.

  • no Itn is not scary but still good it was a bizzare twisit in the story to me

  • yeah im sorry i meant 2 say the running man. i finished it and its was good, weird ending though. the book really isnt scary like the shining or it. its kinda like a sci-fi suspense

  • what about Rose Madder?

  • if u can make this many horror stories u r definitely fucked up in the head

  • wat was the second song

  • im reading the running run rite now and then im gunna see the movie after im finished with it. then after that im gunna move on to firestarter

  • don't you mean the Running Man?

    Is it good?

Currently I'm reading the Shining...it's scared me enough to hesitate when sliding the shower-curtain in the bathroom. :]

  • Which of these is real good &scary?

  • IT

scared the freakin shit out of me

read the book, then watch the movie

  • all of them

  • Sorry, Carl, but you missed at least one: "Stephen King's 'Night Shift' Collection." It's a VHS tape (remember those?) with two short films based on stories in "Night Shift": "The Boogeyman" and "The Woman in the Room." The latter was written and directed by Frank Darabont, the man who directed "Shawshank," "Green Mile," and "The Mist." It's good. Maybe you could update this video....

  • lawnmover man was a short story in the book night shift. but it wasnt the same plot as the movie,

  • wait wait, "Lawnmower Man" is Stephen King? What story/novel was THAT based on?

  • Early versions of the film alluded that they were related to a 'Stephen King' work. King did write a short story called "The Lawnmower Man'', but it was completely different to the movie. King sued the film makers, and had his name removed from the film.

  • @yellowhorde

I really liked the original short story "The Lawnmower Man". I remember that came out in the "Night Shift" collection of short stories, which, I think, also included "Trucks" and a story about this guy who drank a beer with something in it that slowly turned him into a gelatinous thing with flat yellow eyes, he had his kid keep bringing him beer, finally the sheriff comes 'cause the kid's scared sh*tless and all hell breaks loose when that thing opens the door.

  • I love "sometimes they come back". The ending was kick-ass!

  • is all of those shitty looking sequals written by stephen king?

cause it seems like it is just some peanutbrained producer thought " oh jolly, that movie went great! lets make another one! this will for sure be better since we have more special effects!".......dumass...

  • if sequels to good movies don't have the original cast crew.. They're usually always worse. I mean making 7 Children of the corns with different people.. Who seriously watches those and enjoys all.

  • Stephen King is the king of novels. My personal favorite author and his movies are my favorite. Now that's what i call a person with A BRAIN!!

  • stephen king didnt make the rage :P

  • The Shining (remake) was really close to the book and is my favorite

  • Is Carrie 2 the serquel to the original Carrie or the sequel to the Carrie Remake?

  • carrie 2 the rage is the sequel to the original carrie I have seen it many times

  • @philosophermike It would have to be Stanley Kubrick's Carrie because in part 2 they show clips from part 1 and it's from that Carrie. The movie even has the same actress who survived in part 1.

  • Stephen King FTW

  • well the first part of the music is from IT, second from Needful Things but I dont regonize the third?

  • i currently own about 40 odd movies based on his novels and short stories, own all his novels, "Shawshank Redemption" is without a doubt the best movie of them all, "The Stand", however seems to be my fav book and movie, "Green Mile", pretty much dead on the novel therefore brilliant, wish they would make "The Dark Tower" series into movies that would be epic

  • Stephen King said that the producers of LOST are gonna produce a TV Serie for THE DARK TOWER. Stephen King said this because he love LOST.

  • Actually, it's only J.J. Abrams who is doing the Dark Tower, and it's being made into a movie, but not until LOST is finished, because King thinks Abrams has enough on his plate without adding the Dark Tower to it. think about it, Abrams has done cloverfield, Lost, Fringe, Star Trek... King knows what he's doing.

  • Rumor has it J.J. Abrams is doing it.

  • Wow...there was about 7 "Children of the Corn" movies. I havn't read it, but I can't imagine how anyone could make 7 GOOD movies out of anything. lol

  • Thanks for making this!

  • Mine are- Stand by me, Shawshank, The Stand, Green Mile oh and Pet Sematary Carrie , Needful Things, Cujo , Childern of the corn, The Mist was cool so was 1408 - Think I have seen them all

  • My favoutite forever: Rose Red, It, The Stand, Dolores Claiborne, Green Mile, Sometimes they are come back, Kingdom Hospital, Pet sematary,Storm of the Century, Carrie, Dreamcatcer, Secret Window, Riding the Bullet, 1408, The Mist... ^.^

  • why didn't they just get Drew Barrymore again for the sequel of Firestarter?

  • The Stand is my all-time favorite (book & movie).

  • i would have to agree with u on that because everyone is so rude about that movie because its so long and the book is too in deep into the bible they think.

  • The casting of the movie was excellent - the actors "fit" the parts.

I read the book (for the 1st time) in 1979 and I had "pictured" the characters - the mini series did not disappoint!

"M-O-O-N" gets a response out of me every time I see it.

  • Cat's eye was a novel?

I looked up the full list of his novels, but it seems like the list was lacking a lot...

  • well a lot of them are short stories

  • have i overlooked it, or did you forgot "thinner"?

  • overlooked it

    its at 3:37

  • The Lawnmower Man movies have nothing to do with the story of the same name. Absolutely nothing. King refused to let the studio use his name in the title because of this.

  • Whats the movie at 2:36 ?

  • i saw 1408 and shawshank redemption the other day two awesome films.

  • nightmares and dreamscapes turned out pretty well, and desperation was good too (these were tv movies), but there are too many sequels, especially to children of the corn and sometimes they come back!!! these were like 20-page short stories!!!!

  • Stephen King is my second cousin. I'd have to say my favorite Stephen King book was Hearts in Atlantis (however, the movie adaptation SUCKED) my favorite adaptation of one of his books would be Apt Pupil or Misery. Both varied from the books in areas, but they were still amazing! Anyway, I just saw Carrie (1976) for the first time. I thought the book was much better, but the movie was pretty good.

  • i totaly agree with you but dont forget rita hayworth and shawshank redemption the movie along with misery, apt pupil and secret window, secret garden.

  • SEVEN children of the corn movies! Wasnt the second one called "The FINAL sacrafise"? They should have stopped at 3

  • Yea like he said in his going to the movies book I am expecting a children of the corn in space LOL

  • you shouldn't include lawnmower man, thats not based on his book the company just stole his title added a lawnmower to the story and added his name to it, he sued for defamation or something. The original ia about a fat Mr.Tomnas Pan worshipping lawnmowerman.

  • What is the second song called, please??

  • It's 'Hall of the Mountain King', but beats me who wrote it - it's a classical, but I can't remember who wrote it... sorry, I can help only this much... Dx

  • "In the Hall of the Mountain King" or "Peer Gynt" By Edvard Hagerup Grieg

  • I am totally hooked on the books of Stephen King. And Misery is one of the best adaptions. Kathy Bates is really good in that movie. She was crazy as hell.

  • 1. shawshank redemption

    2. IT

    3. stand by me

    4. Misery (PS, wanna kill that bitch)

    5. pet semetary

    6. The Shining

    7. Green Mile

    8. The Stand

    9. The Mist

thoose are my favourites by stephen king:)

  • I think you forgot rose red :?!

  • nope

  • Please what is the music at 2:40 ???????

  • "In the Hall of the Mountain King" or "Peer Gynt" By Edvard Hagerup Grieg .

I like this piece as well.

  • did i miss Pet Semetary or did he not put it on

  • He did its at 1:35

  • my auntie has a stephen king collection and i already seen some of theese films

  • i saw this one movie about these 5 punks that end up killing this kid and come back to kill jimmy or somin which 1 was that it was a awesome movie

  • i think that was SOMETIMES THEY COME BACK

  • Sometimes they come back..it sucked compared to the story

  • now you have to add The Mist. thats a really gory movie, but i hate how they changed the ending.

  • The Lawnmower Man isn't his, they used the name but if you read the story it is way different.

  • Its weird how the good ones are amazing but the bad ones are awful

  • That's a long list O: so many sequals to children of the corn I swear lol

  • oooooh god IT bring me nightmares

  • Stephen king directed them all or just wrote?

  • i think he wrote all of them except for the sequals.

  • Stephen King just wrote the stories. he did help in some of the filmaking tho, but not the director.

  • la ventana secreta y 1408 muy buenas muy buenas ;)

  • Stephen King!!!!yeap.......
