A brilliant video, very informative but sobering as well. Violence against women all over the world seems to be increasing every year, and nothing seems to be able to stop it. There need to be much tougher sentences to deter all attackers as well as educational programmes for women to "spot" the early signs of abusive behaviour and to act accordingly. Here in the UK its only a tiny percentage of abusers who actually go to jail, so there's no deterrence at all.

JackDoesntCare: Unfortunately in this society nobody seems to care if a man catches a beatdown by a female or another male. If you get attacked in the street no one will aid you. If you are a women your chances of being helped are higher because females are considered weak and defenseless. Men on the other hand are supposed to "man up" and "take that whuppin' like a man".

Niklaus Walter Froehlich gets only less than 2 years in jail for killing Blake Moors, when Blake was trying to save a battered woman who was being brutally beaten by Niklaus Walter Froehlich in North Carolina. Froehlich has a history of sexual assult against women. Froehlich was a trained Military personnel with training in martial arts.

My cousin was killed in 1986 trying to prevent a woman from being assaulted with a knife in Albuquerque. His killer got 2 years in prison. This is pathethic.

I heard in a class that more women are abused in the United States than in the middle east. I've wanted to research to find if this is actually true or not but I am having a hard time finding the data on the internet, can someone help me find any statisics on this subject?

Native American Women are the most sexually abused out of all races within the US, while Native Americans and Alaskan Natives make up only 1.5 percent of the total US population! This is an astounding statistic!!!! NO matter what your race is, you must realize that all lives deserve to live free of all forms of violence! Support Humanity! Contact your Congress person and demand that they have Indian Health Services provide optimum care and conscientious policies!

This is a very important video and should be shared with all Tribal leadership and community people. IHS needs to improve their services to people that have been sexually assualted! As a Native Women we need your support to improve services provided by Indian Health Service. Please contact your congress person and tell them to have Indian Health Service adope standardize policies within their Emergency Rooms to help reduce the rapes in our communities.
