The misconceptions about what a loving and generous human being Michael was are relatively unknown to many because of the specuation and scandal yellow journalism perperated in crime against him. Mostly people are consumed with apathy from not seeing how they as individuals can unify and make a difference in the world they are living in. They need to have self-esteem given back to them. Our society is rewarding people for the wrong type of behavior.

I'd love to see more unity in the groups organised to advance Michael's reputation and legacy. There seems to be quite a jumble and multitude of groups. It's confusing to know which ones to support, time being precious can't support all. Hope apathetic people can be reached through education. Haters are
@paradais2 1) People with true self-respect and self-esteem they have gained through personal effort and achievement are able to resist the temptation to join 'groups' of people with bad reputations. They are able to find more worthy peers for the attention and acceptance all people require. This is really best accomplished from an early age. The haters we see today are like children who have had no positive attention...they will throw fits if that is what is needed to get it.
@paradais2 2) The haters we are being besieged with are for the most part using words to throw tantrums for attention. Once in such a mindset and habit, I think it would have to be up to such a person to want to change their ways. We can't do it for them. I see the same type of behavior in the media personalities. 'Word fits' for attention, money, and ratings. It's easier to tear someone down instead of building yourself up! When they do this, they are telling us who they are! Not Michael!

In Australia, we've a name for what I think you're describing where you talk about people tearing someone down, who's better - "Tall Poppy Syndrome" or the "politics of envy". MJ did sing about the 'ghost of jealousy'. There are undoubtedly some under-achieving people who really feel shown up because MJ over-achieved so much & dare I say it, as a black man from Gary, which just emphasizes their own failed & pitiful lives. Yes, it's up to them to see this.

I always say take the best of human nature and put it in one place and you will have MIchael Jackson...now take all the worst of human nature and throw it at one person..and again, you get Michael Jackson. Michael 'redefined' what a person from a certain race or economic situation is socially percieved to be able to accomplish. He was an anomoly. He showed that the human drive to succeed may surpass what the world is ready to accept.
@paradais2 2) This made him a hero to many people. He self-educated..he innovated...he kept taking it to the 'next level'. He was a force of nature rarely seen. It wasn't just racial issues, envy, or greed against him..it was every issue of any person who tried to compare where they were in life when regarding him and his accomplishments. Michael did not let the perceptions of what is customary define what he envisioned for his life in any way. Many can't accept they can't control others.
I have to come here..cos it's so full of love in here_ the most wonderful family one could wish for. The MJ Family is the best! You Candy and Nancy are amazing!

All these lovely ladies who participated worked hard, some to learn English just for this. It is also up in China, despite censorship there. The lady from Malaysia made this possible, fully transcribed into Simplified Chinese too. This was magic. All the love was and still is amazing to me from the making of this. Thanks to Michael.

The misconceptions about what a loving and generous human being Michael was are relatively unknown to many because of the specuation and scandal yellow journalism perperated in crime against him. Mostly people are consumed with apathy from not seeing how they as individuals can unify and make a difference in the world they are living in. They need to have self-esteem given back to them. Our society is rewarding people for the wrong type of behavior.

I'd love to see more unity in the groups organised to advance Michael's reputation and legacy. There seems to be quite a jumble and multitude of groups. @paradais2 1) People with true self-respect and self-esteem they have gained through personal effort and achievement are able to resist the temptation to join 'groups' of people with bad reputations. They are able to find more worthy peers for the attention and acceptance all people require. This is really best accomplished from an early age. The haters we see today are like children who have had no positive attention...they will throw fits if that is what is needed to get it.

Once in such a mindset and habit, I think it would have to be up to such a person to want to change their ways. We can't do it for them. I see the same type of behavior in the media personalities. 'Word fits' for attention, money, and ratings. It's easier to tear someone down instead of building yourself up! When they do this, they are telling us who they are! Not Michael!

In Australia, we've a name for what I think you're describing where you talk about people tearing someone down, who's better - "Tall Poppy Syndrome" or the "politics of envy". MJ did sing about the 'ghost of jealousy'. There are undoubtedly some under-achieving people who really feel shown up because MJ over-achieved so much & dare I say it, as a black man from Gary, which just emphasizes their own failed & pitiful lives. Yes, it's up to them to see this.

I always say take the best of human nature and put it in one place and you will have MIchael Jackson...now take all the worst of human nature and throw it at one person..and again, you get Michael Jackson. Michael 'redefined' what a person from a certain race or economic situation is socially percieved to be able to accomplish. He was an anomoly. He showed that the human drive to succeed may surpass what the world is ready to accept.

It wasn't just racial issues, envy, or greed against him..it was every issue of any person who tried to compare where they were in life when regarding him and his accomplishments. Michael did not let the perceptions of what is customary define what he envisioned for his life in any way. Many can't accept they can't control others.
