@cosmic112 I agree. Half of what makes classical music have the feeling that it does is its tempo changes and the way you can slow down for a second and then speed back into things. This music is incredible. Tempo control is the biggest thing I have learned on guitar. Too bad sooo many people think that "tempo control" simply means maintaining the SAME tempo throughout the whole piece. >.< Hahaha. Very well played sir. I enjoyed watching every bit of this video :).
One of my favourite classical guitar pieces,by the spanish master Francisco Terrega and played here with nice tempo that represented the piece very nicely thanks for the effort.
I had never heard this piece of music until it was played in church today. Gorgeous.
The best part of this video, however, is when you pull the rare Siberian Snow Beast up onto your lap at the end. WHAT manner of magnificent creature is that ? It resembles a cat and yet, is obviously, SO much more...........
Quite nice. I like the sound of the guitar. And your equipment for this presentation is all the better. You exhibit finesse, control and overall pure clean tonality. Those slurs are harder to pull-off then would one expect! Not much to add except be congnicent of the scores' dynamics. "Shape" the phrases - the music - more by being more free. Use a little more color to convey tension or release. Overall, quite good - though I prefer tabby cats...
very well done. I'm currently learning that piece. It's not easy by any stretch of the imagination. I can currently play the first half. So up until the change into Major. I only started it 2 weeks ago though and i haven't been practicing anywhere near enough.
Keep up the good work man, you're obviously a really good giutarist with fantastic technique :D
ditto, except I just started figuring it out last night, playing it non-stop for about 5 hours. I just couldn't let it sit without getting a big chunk of it done :P
crazy hard song man, good luck finishing it.
and props to andy. I will definitely use this for technique reference.
Ya I've been playing for at least several hours a day and learning alot about music theory. It's great to hear from you and I'll make sure to check out your myspace!
Hi, great play! May i know what guitar are you using? I love the tone. The guitar+ur guitar control= awesome. I am considering buying a clssical guitar. I have Admira,MR, Alhambra and other spanish guitars in mind. Any suggestions?
Any spanish hand made guitar is a good one - you can't go wrong. I suggest you hand it to someone else to play, and then sit about 6 feet away in front of them so that you can listen to what it really sounds like. On the video, I am playing a Martin Humphrey guitar (factory model). They are pretty solid, and Sharon Isbin plays one. Ben Verdery used to play one, but he switched to smallman... Thanks for the comments. Look for more videos from me soon...

Really nice string tone, especially the treble notes in the slower sections. Did you use the microphone on the camera? Or did you have a remote mic?
Thank you for taking the time to record and post this video.
